I used to be a Chris Redfield fan, but now I'm just sick and tired of playing the guy, as its the same with Leon. They're both cool but CAPCOM used them way TOO much.
Anyway, Carlos has always been one of my favs, and I'm surprised CAPCOM has not used him. By the way, with Carlos curing Jill it gave way for there to be a RE5.
To me, Carlos ranks up there with Leon and Chris, and it's just sad there's alot of haters that do not hold Carlos in that regard.
He needs to be the star of the next game, they need to stop using the same old characters for the main hero and let us get something new. I love Carlos and really hope that CAPCOM will use him AND Billy Coen in another game together to kick some umbrella butt!
@TheResidentevil1fan That would be awesome. Considering that the ladies, Jill in RE3 and Claire in RECV were the majority of the gameplay in their respective games. You could only play Carlos for one small part...as it was the same for Steve. Both had small parts and deserve more way more playing time.
Billy deserves to be in another game also. A game where he doesn't have to keep exchanging items like in RE0. That feature was exhausting for my brain...especially with no item box...

Hey primepsycho88, I have a question and u seem to know a lot about RE, I have seen the 3 movies (with Milla Jovovich) but never played any of the RE video games, well my question is - did "Alice" and "Carlos" appear in any of the video games?-
Carlos Oliveira, the dude from this vid, appeared first in Resident Evil 3 and then again in the Umbrella Chronicles, Alice is a creation for the movies.
@primepsycho88 Chris was fighting Umbrella in Europe actually. But i do agree that he should've been in Raccoon City, but then again he was on Rockfort Island and Antarctica and there was nobody there to save him.
@akamaro20 Chris punched that officer on purpose, it was an act to cover up his investigation of Umbrella, it says it in the official archives. Chris left Raccoon City to go to Europe just before the outbreak occured. Jill and Barry were set to follow him but they had to deal with the outbreak first. While Claire was captured, Chris was still off somewhere in Europe, then Leon tracked him down and told him about Claire.

@TheBiohazardfan you could say that about a most characters though. If it wasn't for Chris in RE1 Jill would be dead. If it wasn't for Wesker, Chris would be dead in RE1. If it wasn't for Ada in RE2 and 4, Leon would be dead. If it wasn't for Leon in RE2, Claire would be dead. If it wasn't for Chris in CV, Claire would be dead. If it wasn't for Jill, Carlos would have died because she's the one who gathers the items, shes the one who fought Nemy, she found him in trouble with Nemy and helped.

I agree you on everyone helping one another, but when it comes to Carlos helping such a main character in Jill, RE fans tend to dislike it just because he flirted.
We, as Resident Evil fans, never got to play as Carlos in a full game. So why do people hate Carlos when we barely know anything about him and his past? Personally, I think Carlos and Nicholai will be better than Chris and Wesker matrix crap
@TheBiohazardfan Yh forgot bout Josh and Jill and Chris and Sheva saving each other. Carlos was never meant to be a full time deal. Nicholai has potential to appear again but nothing to do with Carlos. Carlos never had a grudge with him like Chris and Wesker did, so theres no point in Carlos returning. We have never played as Ada in a full game either. I'd have rather had Barry there for the whole game not this random Carlos. I don't care that he flirts its not like he has a chance with Jill lol
@NTom92 As for Carlos running away, I NEVER saw him run. In the gas station scenario, he stays outside to provide cover for Jill. The NEMESIS fight at the clocktower, he didnt run. In fact, he jumped in through the fire to assist Jill.
And for Jill saving Carlos, wrong again. Carlos was the one who GAVE HER ITEMS.Tthe Frozen Grenade rounds or Acid rounds in the train. Not only those things, but he also gave Jill the SIDEPACK for extra carrying space.
@TheBiohazardfan Yh he runs away a few times, then redeems himself later. I met Nicholai in the gas station. He's all panicky in the clock tower saying he can't take it and Jills smacks him to make him grow up. Im talking about the fuses, the machine oil etc. Jill also saves both their lives by holding off Nemesis in the train while Carlos does nothing in the other car. Its Mikhail who's the hero then though.

The creators, CAPCOM CREATED IT THAT WAY. And like you said again, Carlos never had a grudge with Nicholai because CAPCOM didnt 'give it a chance to grow. Thats what your problem is, Carlos was random, he didn't give Jill IMPORTANT items, he didn't have enough a PERSONAL script with Nicholai.
All these things are CAPCOM's fault for not providing more of Carlos' story. You just think he ran

But thats why i think Capcom should have never introduced him, because they knew they were making a character that isn't important to the overall plot of taking down Umbrella. that all depends on your choices, dont fight with nemesis in the RPD, and when meet carlos and nemesis comes you have run away from, then you see the scene when carlos kills murphy and nicholai gets toasted in the gas station

Nice video! Carlos Oliveira is one of the best characters in RE games. Just a clarification: Carlos is not a " brazilian hot hispanic " because the brazilians do not call themselves hispanics. The brazilians speak portuguese, the language of their country colonizer: Portugal. There are many other cultural differences between Brazilian and Hispanic people. Call a Brazilian of Hispanic is like calling an American of Canadian.
Thanks for the clarification! I think that the error started from Wikipedia, where Carlos is described as "a Brazilian mercenary". But that info is obviaously a fake, Capcom never explained the exact nationality of Carlos. I thought he might come from Colombia?
Indeed, Carlos is in fact Brazilian. I just want to say that the Brazilians are not as many people think Hispanics. "Hispanic" is a category that means the people who speak Spanish. In Brazil we speak Portuguese. I wished to clarify this because I'm Brazilian. Anyway, I am happy to have helped in something.
U kno what Resident evil 3 extinction made me mad. How could they let the 2nd best character die. (Chris is #1 to me in my opinion). C'mon how could they that blows.
It's so sad that Carlos can't be in the plans of Capcom for send him for another RE series, but I think one important think about all this, RE3 it's more than enough for his presence, and why? He it's a real hero, he save himself, and Jill, so... he represent all the valenty of a young man, and like a lot of RE fans whe know that RE3 it's a great game ever of PSx, well, it's the same with Carlos, Jill, and the others, the others RE from now, are just Remakes, no cool =)

I no longer have it. It's very possible that, even if Carlos is Brazilian, he moved around quite a bit (accents do not always stick).
Lastly, it's not even verified where Carlos is exactly from, so all of this may not even apply to him at all.

@akamaro20 Chris punched that officer on purpose, it was an act to cover up his investigation of Umbrella, it says it in the official archives. Chris left Raccoon City to go to Europe just before the outbreak occured. Jill and Barry were set to follow him but they had to deal with the outbreak first. While Claire was captured, Chris was still off somewhere in Europe, then Leon tracked him down and told him about Claire.

If it wasn't for Ada in RE2 and 4, Leon would be dead. If it wasn't for Leon in RE2, Claire would be dead. If it wasn't for Chris in CV, Claire would be dead. If it wasn't for Jill, Carlos would have died because she's the one who gathers the items, shes the one who fought Nemy, she found him in trouble with Nemy and helped.

I agree you on everyone helping one another, but when it comes to Carlos helping such a main character in Jill, RE fans tend to dislike it just because he flirted.
We, as Resident Evil fans, never got to play as Carlos in a full game. So why do people hate Carlos when we barely know anything about him and his past? Personally, I think Carlos and Nicholai will be better than Chris and Wesker matrix crap

@TheBiohazardfan Yh forgot bout Josh and Jill and Chris and Sheva saving each other. Carlos was never meant to be a full time deal. Nicholai has potential to appear again but nothing to do with Carlos. Carlos never had a grudge with him like Chris and Wesker did, so theres no point in Carlos returning. We have never played as Ada in a full game either. I'd have rather had Barry there for the whole game not this random Carlos. I don't care that he flirts its not like he has a chance with Jill lol

@NTom92 As for Carlos running away, I NEVER saw him run. In the gas station scenario, he stays outside to provide cover for Jill. The NEMESIS fight at the clocktower, he didnt run. In fact, he jumped in through the fire to assist Jill.
And for Jill saving Carlos, wrong again. Carlos was the one who GAVE HER ITEMS.Tthe Frozen Grenade rounds or Acid rounds in the train. Not only those things, but he also gave Jill the SIDEPACK for extra carrying space.

@TheBiohazardfan Yh he runs away a few times, then redeems himself later. I met Nicholai in the gas station. He's all panicky in the clock tower saying he can't take it and Jills smacks him to make him grow up. Im talking about the fuses, the machine oil etc. Jill also saves both their lives by holding off Nemesis in the train while Carlos does nothing in the other car. Its Mikhail who's the hero then though.

The creators, CAPCOM CREATED IT THAT WAY. And like you said again, Carlos never had a grudge with Nicholai because CAPCOM didnt 'give it a chance to grow. Thats what your problem is, Carlos was random, he didn't give Jill IMPORTANT items, he didn't have enough a PERSONAL script with Nicholai.
All these things are CAPCOM's fault for not providing more of Carlos' story. You just think he ran

But thats why i think Capcom should have never introduced him, because they knew they were making a character that isn't important to the overall plot of taking down Umbrella. Besides all he cared about was escaping he didn't care about taking down Umbrella.

As an RE fan myself, i prefer Chris, whether he takes steroids or not he's still a lot more badass than Carlos. And Leon is also a laser dodging badass. that all depends on your choices, dont fight with nemesis in the RPD, and when meet carlos and nemesis comes you have run away from, then you see the scene when carlos kills murphy and nicholai gets toasted in the gas station

Nice video! Carlos Oliveira is one of the best characters in RE games. Just a clarification: Carlos is not a " brazilian hot hispanic " because the brazilians do not call themselves hispanics. The brazilians speak portuguese, the language of their country colonizer: Portugal. There are many other cultural differences between Brazilian and Hispanic people. Call a Brazilian of Hispanic is like calling an American of Canadian.

Indeed, Carlos is in fact Brazilian. I just want to say that the Brazilians are not as many people think Hispanics. "Hispanic" is a category that means the people who speak Spanish. It's so sad that Carlos can't be in the plans of Capcom for send him for another RE series, but I think one important think about all this, RE3 it's more than enough for his presence, and why? He it's a real hero, he save himself, and Jill, so... he represent all the valenty of a young man, and like a lot of RE fans whe know that RE3 it's a great game ever of PSx, well, it's the same with Carlos, Jill, and the others, the others RE from now, are just Remakes, no cool =)
