  • @PsychoBurgundy3 yeahm, it used additional hardware, teh VC6 sound chip from Konami or something, in the cartridge. Still sounds great though.

  • There should be a full video walkthrough of this game.

  • @kenshirotakahashi I wanted to do one, but ran into technical difficulties, like I mentioned in t he description, I lost my savefiles....

  • I just ran into this NSF using the Dendy soundtracks and I never heard any of tracks until a few minutes ago the thing is I havent stopped listening to the first track yet that one song is so awesome I wanna play this game now!!!

  • @Waxxers The game is SO FREAKING HARD! ... great story but tedious and high encounter rate... I used cheats to get thru the walkthru as far as I did, got info from somebody else about it so I might update it but man, it is HARD!

Love the music the most though.

  • @bajan13k I had to cheat as well when I used my nesterdc emulator on the dreamcast to play this game it is freaking hard I agree 100% with you.

  • Overworld music rules!

  • this game must have utilized the special sound chip that was invented by Konami. The bgm and sound effects sound badass!

  • @ryanc519 yeah, I think someone called it the VRC6 in another comment. It has additional voices or something. The music for this game is great, really.

  • The battle system looks similar to Ultima.

  • VRC6 FTW!

  • @hijoelagranputa Indeed. Awesome chip, for it time. Heck, even for now.

  • Why the fucking fuck haven't they made a SNES-version? Oh, because that would make to much money and bring a to good game? That's the reasons? Those aren't really BAD reasons.

  • well, you could always write to Konami and get the rights to make a new version..... XD

  • One of Konami's greatest RPGs, absolutely should've come to America decades ago.

  • the graphics & especially the music is just fantastic.thanks the revolutionairy vrc6 chip.

  • I'll have to read up on it again, but this game shoulda been made into a wider franchise...

  • Yeah, but the amazing thing is that it's on the NES (well, Famicom), not the SNES! This is an 8-bit game!

  • the music is so awesome, that i got hylaric!!!

and well done the still work in progress translation.

  • I didn't do the translation, just the FAQ/Walkthrough (which isn't finished, this game is LONG and I lost recent savefiles...) the translation is finished, though: AGTP did it. There should be a link to it in the FAQ on gamefaqs, or you google for it or the pre-patched ROM if you wanted.

  • The music uses a special chip in the Famicom/NES cart... VC6 mapper or something... it took a while for emulators to be able to emulate it.

  • Reminds me of Ultima IV

  • Yeah, I played on Ultima game on NES but I don't remember which one. I thought it was Ultima II but I dunno.
