Meaning Ishmael was [cast out]. B/c Ishmael was [cast out] God then said in Gen 22:2 "And he (God) said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac"

All of Genesis proves God favored Isaac. Even after Abrahams funeral God blessed ONLY Isaac! Gen 25:11 "... God blessed his(Abraham) son Isaac"

Also, remember Farza, God blessed ONLY Isaac after the funeral of Abraham. When god states in Gen 21:12 “God said unto Abraham … for in Isaac shall thy(Abraham) seed be called” This means that ONLY in Isaac will Abrahams seed spawn all new prophets. This statement has so much weight of Gods wishes, Gods will & Gods plan.
