hmm. This is such a tender piece, that I really do feel the tempo is much too fast. In the slow tempo, such detail can be added that is lost in this fast tempo. Like in the variants of the lyrics, when singing "un-kind disdain" singing un-kind wiht a truly hard K really gives something extra and shows the different feeling of the lyrics. And when singing "I kiss." SUCH tenderness is in that lyric. In the slow tempo, such tenderness can be added to that. Sung fast, this kinda seems like a race.
hmm its suposed to be sung almost that fast... not so fast a little slower but its not much.. i dont understand why you should sing it as slow as most of the versions,, i men the temp. in the papers says something else
ROFL this song is on speeeed! Dowland also has a song called "What if I never speede?" Well, this is what happens if he does.
I have loved this song (and Dowland) since I first heard it. But somehow when it gets to "in deadly pain and endless misery" I can't feel the pain at that speed!
Don't run away aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh.
But lovely voices.

Much to fast for me to sing along with. I shall have to find a slower version.
