Anatol Lieven might be a bright journalist but he absolutely doesn't understand what's happening in Russia now. He supports Putin's authoritarianism and criticizes Russian liberals and ethnic minorities. He thinks tyranny is good for Russia. What a fool!

I highly recommend reading his latest, America Right or Wrong. It was insightful, extremely well-researched and opened my mind to another dimension of understanding about my country.
