This video is not evidence for two good reasons: It doesn't include the full conversation and there is a lot of room for various interpretations of what the grandmother said and meant.

This is from the Hawaii state website: Birth certificates (Certificates of Live Birth and Certifications of Live Birth) and Certificates of Hawaiian Birth are the primary documents used to determine native Hawaiian qualification. The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands accepts both Certificates of Live Birth (original birth certificate) and Certifications of Live Birth because they are official government records documenting an individual’s birth.

@ericjungleboy do you not understand that a person may, even decades after their birth file and recieve a copy of a certificate of live birth? An official birth cirtificate shows the time/place/dr at the birth. A certificate of live birth does not have to include that; which makes it suspect at best and easily falsifiable at worst.

@canisdormit The State of Hawaii, including its former and current governor, has confirmed that Obama was born in Honolulu. The State Health Department has confirmed it. Obama's grandmother clarified that he was born in Hawaii (right after the part where she says she was in Kenya when he was born, but the birthers cut off the tape at that point). The original full conversation is available here on youtube and at factcheck and McRae (the guy who interviewed her) confirmed it too.

@canisdormit Both the long and short forms are considered official birth certificates in Hawaii. Two governors as well as other State officials have also vouched that Obama was born in Hawaii. Furthermore, there are no documents to prove or even lend evidence that Obama was born anywhere else. So why would you even question that he was?

@ericjungleboy What the state of hawaii believes is acceptable isn't neccessarily the same evidence neede to pass the test of constitutionality. A person born of only one american parent is only a natural born if born on Unoted States soil. To be given a cerificate of live birth in hawaii one must not necessarily have been born on United States soil. Do you see the discrepancy here? It seems fairly obvious to me I don't understand how you fail to acknowledge it.

Obama's grandmother never said Obama was born in Kenya. She said she was in Kenya when he was born. And when the American bishop asked again for clarification, she said that she was in Kenya when he was born but Obama was born in the USA. But that part was cut off by all the birthers trying to stir up controversy. There is no evidence of Obama being born anywhere other than Hawaii.

@MrCrazychevy79 The Constitution doesn't say you have to born in the U.S. to be President. It says "natural born citizen". That means born a citizen, a natural citizen. But it doesn't mean you had to be born on U.S. soil. If your parents are Americans, then you can be born anywhere and still be born a natural U.S. citizen.

The so-called "long form" is just the same thing with additional private information such as the physician etc. That info is private, and it doesnt prove any further that Obama was born in the USA. The "short form" certificate of live birth already does that. That's the facts.

@denandcin lol. I think its like this. U cant buy Handguns or submachine guns or anything like that. But u can buy hunting guns. such as a rifle or shotgun. but even then. u need to have a license. and that process is hell. And u need to be like. living on a Farm or be a registered hunter.
it actually easier to buy smuggled guns from the U.S. then to get them legally. So if a person gets shot. the first thing Poilice do is investigate smuggling activity at the border.

To be the President of the USA, the Constitution of the USA indicates that he must be "a natural born citizen". To be a natural born citizen, he MUST meet 2 conditions:
1) he must be born in the USA.
2) he must be born of two American parents.
BOTH conditions are required!
1) is NOT met, as Obama never showed a LONG FORM birth certificate!
2) is IMPOSSIBLE TO MEET, as Obama's father was NEVER an American!
Hence, Obama is NOT a natural born citizen and is NOT eligible to be President of the USA!

I think you meant to be a natural born citizen, he must meet ONE of two criteria being he was either born here OR he was born to two american parents (as was the case of John McCain who was born in Panama City to American parents,)

Well,actually Title 8 section 1401 (h) has the answer! Then again if there are any doubts find the answer through INS. The INS website has the rules for citizenship(natural-born/native-born) under INA:ACT 301 (h) !!! But yet if you still want to doubt then simply find out when his father entered Hawaii !! President Obama is a natural-born citizen because of his mother as stated on the INS website and congressional rules.
