Alot of complaints about how this Anders is gone and wasn't in DA2, but instead was 100% Justice. But after watching more and more awakening clips, it seems obvious that he's the same guy, just with a different VA and goal.

His old goal was to avoid imprisonment (he JUST escaped), his DA2!one was to convince others that imprisoning mages for being mages is wrong, so duh he's going to be more preachy about it in DA2. Same character, different goal. Makes sense to me after all he's been through.

@OhNuWhy It's true, when I replayed Awakening I was like hey, I guess he was always complaining about mages and what not. We just must have all mostly ignored that part and only remembered that he was funny.

Wish they let Anders stay the same for DA2 they made him a fanatic in DA2 I hated it...glad he came back but hated how they brought him back making him dark and a rebel didn't work out. He needed to stay as a lazy bum who just wanted to live rather than what they did. Would've been nice to see Valanna too cause I liked her character alot. At least they kept Zev, Alistair, Leliana, and Nathaniel as reappearances but where's Sten Morrigain and Oghren!?!?! D:<

and maybe with anders, i didnt mind so much because i played da2 first, but i like him in da2.

he's funnier and more relaxed in origins, but i got really attached to him in da2 xP

You know what the stupid part about changing the voice actor for Anders in DA2 is? The guy who originally did Anders was still involved in the project-he was the voice of Knight-Captain Cullen, among other things. Why they changed him is beyond me... the original guy... greg something? He was way better. Far more smarmy

I've always felt that apostates should know some blood magic as an alternative since their access to lyrium is much more restricted.

Then again Anders did mention he would like to be a Lyrium smuggler...

@Zjarcal Mages Plot hole exist, though. Lyrium should restricted to templars and circle mages only, but for some reason, almost every merchant in the game has a lyrium in their stock. And this is the same stuff what the templars are addicted of. And if Blood magic is so forbidden and shunned, why can you buy a how-to manual for blood magic in amaranthine? I know it's a plot device, but it still sounds bit odd that they would sell secrets of "Forbidden"arts" on the market square.
