But, having only just recently discovered the truth about the horrific USS Liberty attack and the very solid, i would comfortably say indisputable evidence which has come to light all these years later. I at least now am free from the naive belief that my beloved country would ever be capable of conspiring in such a travesty.

Interesting issue: "Al-Qaeda" means 'the base' in Arabic. It also means 'the database' and was, informally at least, the US's nickname for it's list of high-level US-funded Mujahadeen fighters during the Russian invasion of Afghanistan. The name emerged again in 2000 during a US trial over the Cole bombing wherein prosecutors, in order to try OBL in-absentia via RICO, had to prove he was the head of a criminal enterprise which they called "Al-Qaeda".

The thing is that America has been backing Isreal in its invasion and occupation of Palistine for decades, which in turn causes alot of hatred and anger towards America. In a way we are doing the same to Isreal as Germany did to Austria Hungary in WWI, we have given them a blank check to do whatever the they want.
