  • Charles Brown was great, and I love the tasteful playing of Danny Caron.

  • Charles wasn't just a great artist. He was sweetie pie of a person. Anyone that ever had the chance to spend any time with him at all can attest to that. As for Danny Caron? Class act all the way.

  • Charles Brown had an easy style and even influenced B.B. King, from what I've heard.

  • The original guitarist on Black Night (ca 1951) was Jessie Ervin, who also plays on Fool's Paradise and others from that period. He toured with Charles as well and was married to his "niece", Joyce, for whom Charles' "Joyce's Boogie" is named.

  • @eld1957 Hi Eld, I jam with Charles and his guys whenever I can pick the guitar up or sit at the piano. Youtube has opened sooo many blues avenues for me over the last 2 years. Can you tell me which blues venue Charles is playing at on this occasion please?

  • I'm so glad that YouTube has videos of this guy. I never saw him live. This is as close as I'll ever get but it's so fine. Get the original recording from the early fifties also. It'll break your heart.
