I wondered if u put a mini brushless and balance out the CG,....will it be able to fly...lol...about Swastika...I think they put u in jail (In Germany) if u display that symbol...
All the airfix 1/24 aircraft are well worth a look, even though some of them are a bit old now they are very easy to super detail as well, look on eBay for best price!
I would like to see them make some new ones as well,a swordfish or even a B25 would be great.
If you want Swastika decals, you can buy separate aftermarket sheets in various sizes.
Or (as I do) you can get sheets of inkjet (or laserjet) decal paper and make your own - I like this option because you can also replace damaged decals, create alternative serial numbers or even whole marking schemes.
question to Airfix: example finnish world war two planes, like messerschmitt bf 109 g-2 or g-6,brewster buffalo, fokker d-21 and much more without swastika markings----looks fine? Those are toys not MODELS!!!!.Left the moralization to school girls and make MODELS!
i paint my swastikas on myself, swastikas are ban from models, airfix said it's not policticaly correct to have them in with the kits. nice build tho another one i'll have to add to my 1:24 scale Spitfire and Hurricane.
very illegal in some countries specially germany they even have to be removed from iron crosses from ww2 sad really, it was used well before the Nazis decided to use it
@sinfuselaje Yes I also built the Ju87B Stuka airfix without any Swastica's in the kit,had to use some from an older kit slightly smaller, I did enquire at a ahobby shop and was told he'd never stock them as he gave me the long lecture about the war ect,and what I already knew ( my age is 53 ) with a dissagreement regarding the historical fact about the use of them. I left the shop and told him its a model.
Congrats well built model! love the features. funny that some models have no swastica decal. political correctness is wack. what next? imagine building a soviet plane without the red stars!
A very good effort at making up for the old Airfix kit's horrible shortcomings (well beyond my ken, at any rate). This is unfortunate, given that they're pretty much the only alternative for building Fw 190As of this size. Still, I've seen 1/32 and 1/48 scale kits that managed to pack in more scratch-built details.
All-in-all, a great effort and I applaud your resilience.
Building the engine and cockpit is the best part of this and one of the best parts of any of the airfix models, although the fw190's cockpit is buried and very difficult to see the great detail. No fault of airfix that is how the real plane is
@strarscreamtheking i think you should buy a tamiya product because it has the swastikas in the decals, i have a A8/A8 R2 of it and it has swastikas, idk if all of the german aircraft of tamiya have the swastikas, so if you want, buy a A8/A8 R2 if you can find one :)

wtf.. the swstika is the best part of it. becuase some idiots complain, many great model airplanes cant be historically accurate.
HeartGoldMVP 1 year ago
Beautiful model but if swastikas offend you that much maybe you should not build a nazi airplane,
