Chao Em: I am from Toronto, Canada. I was very fortunate to visit My Tho in May of 2008. My friend, who lives in Toronto with me, is from My Tho and i travelled there. Very beautiful city, I went across to the islands by boat. Even though they finally finished the bridge to the islands, I will still take the boat ride!!! people seem friendlier in My Tho than in HCM City. I hope to return there again but if I do notm I will remember my trip for the rest of my days. Michael
thanks for the video of my hometown. the 'soviet street' you're refering to has nothing to do with the russians. it had always been that way relative to other streets in the city since the time of the colonial french.

The boat trips are one of the big tourist attractions. Nearby is Ben Tre, also a nice riverside town.
