i feel my patella creaking every time that i inflect my knee...i have chondropatheia and i must to exercise my quadriceps..the muscle rectus femoris .to keep the patella up. the exercise must be without inflect of the knee
@fobfob13 my knee creaks all the time also,i guess it is just normal....all joints creak....and i had 2 surgerys on my hip when i was 12! cause i shattered it/dislocated it hurt like a b*tch!!! i was on crutches for half the year 6 months no weight on it at ALL!!!
my sister in law had a partical knee replacement yesterday they did a epederal and nerve block and she was awake during the operation she could hear the saw cuttin away at her for me i dont think i could stand the sound of it
I had my knee replaced a year ago December. My wife is a nurse so she asked the Anesthesiologist to give me a nerve block in the lower and upper part of the leg.
This cuts down on the amount of pain post op. I had lots of scare tissue so they had put me under after 3 months and break the scar tissue in the knee. I do not have pain walking but I have limited motion because the scar tissue came back. I am about 90 degrees now but can walk alright. The first 3 days is a lot of pain.
I am scheduled for acomplete knee replacement, the anethesiologist wants to give me like a epederal rather than a general...I usually have to be knocked out to have a tooth pulled...anybody got any experience
Husband just had knee replacement under a general on Tuesday. No problems, must anesthesiologist want to do it with a nerve block but because of husband felt he could not handle the operation he had no problems, and three days later he is home, my husband is 48 years old.
