Guys, I am from Pechersk School International (for those who don't know PSI and KIS are huge rivals in sports!). I have actually been to KIS, just to see the school, I was close to going there, but after I saw PSI (my new school), I understood that KIS is a load of crap!!!!!!
I don't want to start a massive argument here, just my personal opinion!!!!
ok so i am thinking of goin to KIS next year (junior)
so what is it like there? did those of you who went there liked it? what are people like? etc..i am actually from kiev... but was recently studying in US. i really miss it so i wanted to come back... so what's ur opinion guys?
Unfortunately I have to correct you on that one ;) I have been at KIS for 2 years, and they dont have the full IB programme, only the last years. This means, no PYP, or MYP is taught at KIS.
I have been at KIS for two years, and at PSI for two years. To be honest, the level of education at KIS is amazing, it really is, but the main problem is that it does not give the PYP and MYP courses. This has been confirmed by the direction of KIS, as they said that "We are not the IB school here in Kiev". This is a straight quote from one of the members of the direction, and no they are not practically the same. This was also the reason why I had to leave KIS unfortunately.
i live intorontoand there is a strong chance i will be coming to kyi for a semester. i am in grade 11, which INTERNATIONAL school knows how to party? which would you say has the most outgoing students ? I am used to going to highschools with over 2500 kids, so im looking for a fun school !
PSI is so much better. Sine when does KIS have IB diploma? Anyway KIS just looks good in that video if you actually go there it looks like a falling apart hospital. All those who moved to KIS from PSI skipped a year there bcoz education is better in PSI.
wow... this is to weird.. im moving to kyiv and am probably going to KIS. I need to know some info about the schools option blocks for the IGCSE programme and do i need to take the rest of my IG diploma if i am doing the american curriculum.. can you give me an email address?

Dear Ukrainian, Kyiv is indeed often spelled/pronounced Kiev, mostly by following the way it was spelled here and abroad during last century. We do our best to switch to "Kyiv". Thank you for your concern!
Its often said/pronounced Kiev by Russians, and pro Russian people...During the last century (in USSR) it was Russified, as you know, that's why some say it like Kiev... But before that, long before, it was the capital of the first Ukrainian state, which existed almost 500 years before there was any mention of "Russians"... Your school seems great, respect =). Just a suggestion, if foreigners go to your school, try to Ukrainianize them, not Russify them.
KIS is a school with 60% of ukrainians who are SRA's (spoiled rich assholes )
Everything is about money, wtf???? they said the school was bankrupt just to gain more profit from donations! .

Ah KIS, good times :) Although KIS is a fun skool to go to, if you are planning on doing the IB Programme, then PSI would be a better choice ;)

The IB Programme at KIS and PSI are the same, they have been that way for a while now.
