You have to set the resolution to high, 1.3 wont let you zoom in for some reason.

@bananasandsquash Many users have expressed frustration with the zoom feature. Make sure you're following the instructions for zooming, and also try changing the resolution/ quality to a lower setting. Go to camera options>resolution or quality, and select a lower setting.

lol i did get this phone mixxed up with the samsung rival that is why i picked it. It is an ok phone i just wish it could hold more memory without an sd card like my old phone(the juke) i could take like 3 pics and my memory is almost running out
