land rovers werent designed for speed, they were built to be the reliable suv version of the rolls royce. explorers were underrated cause the problem with shitty gas mileage pushed customers away. i have a 94 explorer and i know that it is the 2nd best truck ford had ever built. the bronco fullsize is 1st!

my wifes explorer, is 4x4, 2002, and it will match my 06 f150 4x4 to 60 and it will actually beat me to 40, where in the world are these 9 sec explorers? Do they have 3.23 rears?

i pull on neons and civic and shit like that for fun. from a dig i yank ever so slightly on my buddys 99 323i 5 speed. from a roll its not so good. i get pulled on by that 323 and eclipses and shit. but from a dig its on like donkey kong

I was incredibly surprised by how fast my friends 2000 explorer OHC 4.0 was, and then I drove another one with the same motor that was slow... weird.

the ls400 is 0-60 in 6.2 seconds to be precise, look it up, its there for everyone to read, it only weighs 1600kg, 600kg less than a bmw 740 which on the top gear test it beat by miles. it is a very quick car. i had the bmw 740i and the jag xj8 and my lexus will smoke both of them. im writing this as i have put it up for sale and got me one of these puppies. bit pissed off as paid for it but its still on forecourt as the insurance company wont open sundays.

yeah bullshit your ls400 can do 0-100 miles per hour in 6.3 seconds. maybe you're thinking 0-60...or 0-100 KILOMETERS per hour (0-62 mph). and my stock 02 v6 explorer with awd (that's 2wd normally but will automatically engage 4x4 high when it senses slippage...but also has the old school 4x4 high and 4x4 low) does 0-60 in 8.8

dam, what year explorer is that? i have a '97 XLT with the 4.0 and 5 speed automatic. i think its considerably slower than yours but im pretty sure i could still beat that Land Cruiser V8. nice kill.

this explorer is model 2002, XLT, V6 4.0 Liter, 4 Speed Automatic, with K&N Air Intake, has around 220 Hp, and you can easily beat this Land Cruiser, I just sold my explorer tho and but a lexus ls 400 model 2000, V8, 300 hp, that would demolish the explorer easily. Thanks For The Comment

sweet. i think my explorer has the OHV engine though only puts out like 160 hp. i might put in k&n intake and some flowmasters. the IS 400 sound sick. u going to kill any mustangs?

hehe lol, nah ls 400 is for luxury, but i got to say it can easily smoke a mustang, goes 0-100 in about 6.3 seconds, my explorer took about 9 secs.. i think if you add k&n air intake ull get a good engine sound, plus flowmaster, equals ownage!! ull get a gain of over 10 hp
