  • are you riding in como park in st. paul? I think I've seen your penny farthing around the twin cities before. Very cool.

  • Great job!!! I'm building a Penny Farthing now. I hope to have it done soon.

  • Love the Penny Farthing ! Love the song! can you tell me the name of the song/artist?

    keep on rolling!

  • what song is playing?!?!

    Nice build btw!

I want a penny farthing SOOOO bad now! hahaha

  • Hi, Finally I'm finishing my penny farthing, but Now I have a little trouble.

I'm trying to learning with conclusions, how to lace my wheel.

First, for center the hub, I lace 10 spokes by each side.(Rim 50", 60 spokes), Hub 30 holes per disc.

Making adjustments with help of a spoke calculator, almost I get it, but one another are larger than the rest of the spokes that fit exactly.

I noticed that you have 6 crosses, HOW IS YOUR METHOD???

    Thanks in advance,

    Regards

  • And Is Solid Rubber Tire or Balloon Tire?, and anyway how can you do that step by step.

  • The bike in this video has three layers of rubber over the outside of the rim. I took six regular bike tires and layered them, such that there were three full layers around the tire. They are held on by a couple of zip-ties! Surprisingly solid. Another idea would be the rubber from wheelchair wheels. I couldn't find any, though.

  • Wow, I Got the idea about makinga a Rim, cuz I've seen ite on another website, cut two or three rims and weld toghether.

    But About The Tire?.

Do you have cutted two Bike Tires and ¿How can you put together?. I want to know If you have a Pneumatic Wheel like every common Bicicle Wheel, or its solid rubber.

I saw a method with rubber solid bulk together and witha wire in the center of the rubber, welded and glued.

    But How is your Method?.

    Thanks

Congratulations, I hope to I can make

  • That is great, well done! I love the costume.

  • I took two regular bike tires and essentially put them together. I cut the two rims and bended them out to form one large rim. I used the main sprockets from two children's bikes as the main hubs. For spokes, I welded a nipple to the end of one spoke and screwed another spoke to it. I even laced it up properly, having six crosses, twice as many as a normal bike tire.

  • that's awesome!

how did you make the big wheel?

  • Yeah how did you make the wheel?

  • well done - cool - check mine out - Ross made them - I supply young folk to ride them -

  • The original fixie
