Refret? No. That's one of the benefits of owning 30 guitars. You never need to refret anything, at least not due to your own wear and tear. Now strings - that's another story! :)
" I'm really trying to let my ear guide my fingers" the best way to play everything...what do you think about the strat plus?can you get a good distortion tone with lace sensors??
Oh, definitely. It's a great Strat! Even with my constant guitar buying and selling, I haven't sought to replace it - I bought it new in 1991. The Lace pickups are excellent, clean or dirty. -RP
You have the exact guitar and amp i want, nice, A fender Strat with red body, maple fingerboard and a Fender Princeton Reverb, only thing id add would be a Pod XT Live.
I don't consciously use scales. I'm really trying to let my ear guide my fingers. But if you broke things down, you'd probably find a mix of major, minor, dorian, and mixolydian scalar forms with a lot of blue notes and chromatic passing tones.
Damn it, I wish I could play as good as that, I have no knowledge of the neck of the guitar at all, and I know thats all it takes. Keep it up all the same.
