  • What's in a name?

In the case of New Jersey, there's a treasure trove of Native American heritage. Below are some of the New Jersey towns whose names are derived from Indian words or phrases.

  • Forgot Smoke Rise, Allemuchy, Pahaquarry, Plumbsock,Waywayanda, Awosting and Moe.

Although, I'm sure every state has weird names.

    An Old Fan

  • Hey Steve. Thanks for putting Succasunna on the map. LOL You and Carlin with his sex and NJ skit:)

  • Love it. Steve is great fun. Saw him last night.

    Bill

  • I love this song!!! thanks for uploading!

  • Great song! Brought on smiles, (with the exception of the background). Unfortunately it looks like the Jersey Turnpike, rather than NJ's true Garden State features. As people travel the turnpike they get the wrong preception of NJ. A great state to grow up in, beautiful landscapes, lakes and beaches.

  • Those are the WPAT-AM radio towers in Clifton in the background.

  • Great!!! Thanks for posting!
