I plan on putting a stack on my savage x 4.6. Does anyone know where you can get an exhaust manifold for the engine? I need to get one so i can machine the stack and weld it to the new manifold.

your mesh is really messed up then iv had the same spur gear for 1 1/2 years now and i took out the f4.1 and put in a highly modded k4.6 HO and i still have the same plastic spur gear !

and the k4.6 HO has more torque and HP then the f4.1 !

Line your engine up correctly and it should last forever, its not that hard, just look good when u attach everything, and make sure its not to loose or tight on clutch, i still got the plastic one after 10 litres (knocks wood)

Thats the 4.1 I have the exact same truck but now I've got an RB Products TM 928 in it. And let me tell you this engine has enough power to get you into and out of trouble! The 4.1 on the other hand is a great starting motor for anyone interested in getting a Savage X for the firts time!

i was using my savage x by the beach, the crystal from teh reciver came loose from the bumps and i lsot control. it went full speed against a concrete block, and nothing happened to it, but then it turned left... straight to the sea. it kept on running for about 5 seconds. and i found out that savages float. i turned the engine on tocheck it and itwas running properly. the next day the engine gotstuck and so did the carburator. teh transimison is harder now and the steering servo stopped working

as for running it in just take your time and dont rush anything ive ran two motors in using the method that hpi give and had no problems, i run 4 tanks raided up on a block so the wheels can move freeley and i ran a further 4 tanks on the ground graduley increasing the speed, i also recomend running it on a paved or tarmaced surface. hope this helps

well when u first get ur car % of fuel matters and if ur haulin ass on ur car with the first few tanks expect it to kill the motor faster.They count tanks when the engine is new to keep track on the motor usage.

You guys are retards, the Savage X 4.6 RTR is completely different from the X SS and the X 4.1 RTR. It has the aluminum differential cups already installed, dual fibre brakes, and the F4.6 motor. By the way, your savage is damn slow compared to my X 4.6 RTR.

i got my car before the x4.6 was released,and anyway the only things that are different is the motor and brakes which you can easley buy and upgrade, anyway upgrading is half the fun of it.

yah the add on i got it for my sabage x 4.1 my r/c dealer said not to get the 4.6 the only things that are different are like 1/2 cc and breakes like u said and the body is blue instead of red so yah.. What is the price of the savage x 4.6 where u are located it is $429.99 in Barrie Ontario.

the only difference according to me in xss 4.6 and x 4.6 is that they discontinued xss 4.6 and introduced this already upgraded x4.6 rtr with 2.9 hp

and 4.6 engine

with dual disk brakes and Diff with alloy case

i couldent say for sure but i think you would still get warrenty on it just because you put it togeather it should still cover the parts.

i would say the xss as it has a more powerfull engine and has more up rated parts such as the drive cups and drive shafts, and you have the advantage of building the kit yourself so you know how it all goes togeather when you do matinence and fixes, but realy its down to you on what you get and what you have to spend. but if you want the chalenge of a kit then go for the xss.if not the x is just as strong but its ready to go from the box.
