  • This is stupid... what ever group this is does not know how to buy the game and give the people time to play. The form these guys have aint too good either

  • @mxaa, your group must be a bunch of dancers. not capoeirista. make sure you know who and what you are watching before commenting.... twat

perfeito muito bom mesmo vcs mandão mutio bem!! valeuu!

  • Muito axe!

  • a primeira menina com mó jeito de angolera!

  • nossa! muito foda! deu ate vontade de voltar a jogar xD

  • lol their style is more about acrobatics and less kicks: the distance between them is kinda far most* of the kicks are far from the other opponent maybe because they need more practice to control the power they use (like me) and to try not to hit the other opponent by accidents. but they sure have great skills!

wow thats a long comment !!!

    ^-^

  • You don't get it you are right about the control demonstrated in the game but in a fight it is much more different.

  • capoeira is not like a comum matial art, becouse exist two tips of exibition: o jogo ( The Game) and the fight ( the fight is not show outside the academi, is just for de most graduated. o jogo is for show o floreio (acrobatics) and in the fight... just imagine! Sorry for the bad english.

  • hehe i know i learn capoeira for 2 years now im in Agua de beber

  • well to tell you the truth, if you watch a little bit closer you'll see that there are far more kicks than acrobatics...they are trying to outsmart the opponent, not beat the shit out of each other... =D

  • @Jelchic i agree with you... its pretty decende compared to what is out there... but if you wanna see true capoeira techniques check out mestre pequeno from grupo mar de itapua check the group videos and you will see the real brazilian capoeira is all about

    axe

  • i wonder....can they kill bears?

  • maybe...

    i guess

    XD

  • i don't know but i'm sure it will be an AWESOME VID!!!

  • oh ma god this is great man

  • Caramba! Roda dahora

  • not all of them were mestres...

  • They don't even let each other play.

They just buy the game too fast. It's crazy!

Oh well, if it works for them...

  • i think they do it because its a show...and on cam..

  • I do not practice the art. I've only fought against it very few times(lost more than I won). However, I have great respect for the art.

That said, like any martial arts displace, as long as the participants & audiance are enjoying themselves and no one gets badly hurt, it's a good show. I guess it's my limited experience with the style, but only saw 1 flaw in the whole thing(around 1 min, 43 sec).

Anyway. I enjoyed watching this and that's good enough for me.

  • va bra

  • good but it looked like they were stressed on time

  • good capoeira .)

  • esperense putos no sean envidiosos den tiempo de pelea putos luego luego kieren salir a que los demas los vean pinches putos

  • I hate games where people buy in so fast. It doesn't give anyone time to have a real exchange with their partner, and creates a lot of confusion. Oh well. At least the people were skilled.

  • lol i was gonan piint that out but u did. lol hmm yeah i was watching the vid and its like "wtf? its like a 5 second jump in and out" hehe

  • Depends what game you're playing... But 5 seconds is still a bit fast even for this game... Depends what the energy is like though

  • oh yeah energy i get that now xD

  • @Mastabiff Yeah but when you get so much energy going how can you resist not jumping in as quick as you can, lol. I know what you mean, I always like to give players a good couple of exchanges before I buy in, but sometimes I just can't help myself.

  • @Postscript624 Excitement is great, but it's never an excuse to go off early.

  • @Mastabiff

At events like this, I'm used to seeing a Professor(a) or higher on each side of the bateria telling us when to go. No confustion, nobody dies.

  • Wow these guys are good at playing the game!

  • to those saying that this roda has no flow or that everyone is showing off and buying too fast.. this is obviously a high cord, batizado roda.. it is a time to do your best movements. these are games for the crowd sitting just off camera, im sure they dont want to see people getting taken down and kicked in the face.. when their kids are probably getting their first cords shortly there after. the games should be short and quick....if the fire is getting to hot, stay out of the damn kitchen..

  • You can still have flow and make a great show for the audience, it's not easy, but if they are Mestres it should be no problem.

  • The guy at 3:11 is Good much style he has. Abada Capoeira

  • kool,kool

  • Wooooooooooooooooooooooow!!

(O_O) <-- my face was like this, watching the video.

  • B R A Z I L R U L E S

  • really amazin man.. capoeira is super kewl yo.. the skill is dang good and these peeps do it wid ease.. :]

  • this is an awesome video by the way, can anyone explain to me what they are chanting? I was in downtown where i live and there was a crowd of people who was practicing capoeira and they was chanting this same thing. so just thought I'd ask.

  • A song called "Paranue" I think.

  • ok thanks cmophia

  • Hi Brandon...They're singing different capoeira popular songs one after the other. I give you a few names: Paranaué, Abaloú Capoeira Abaloú, Jogo de dentro jogo de fora, Folha Seca....This are traditional songs that are used in the rodas("games of capoeira")around the world.

    Greetings, from Argentina. Axé

    Soledad

  • thank you very much for your insight solguasones. Much appreciated. Sounds like you either practice it or have an interest in it. :D

  • Hi Brandon. As you say, I practice capoeira. I've started this year, so I'm not an expert, but I'm trying to improve.

Excellent video...! It's an amazing roda.

    Axé

    Sole

  • jajaja el lo ke queria decir es q si ellos van a las olimpiadas haria q cualquier gimnasta se viera estupido osea q el capoeira es mejor! no dijo q el capoeira es estupido !!

  • If this ever came to the Olympics they will make every gymnast look stupid.

  • great video!

can you give me the name of the song??

  • Outstanding roda performance.

  • Mestre Roda??

all of them are pretty young...hmm could be..

but the Music..... just a few of them clapping their hands,... and the change from

"roda maravilhosa" to "aue aue aue eee"......??what the ...???

    are they mestres??dont belive it...

is may be a good roda if its an Graduado roda...

Only jumpin around is not all..

a true Mestre Roda is a different thing...

  • do you know what capoeira is? cause if you don't then you shouldn't really be saying anything

  • boa roda de capoeira, claro que eu estava lá!!!

    Axé meu mestre

  • Kozaki xD Ahhhhhh brawo x]]

  • Cool video!!!

  • This is a video to the brazilian theniques. It don´t african theniques with many people here believe.

  • wat da hell!

  • what makes you say that? it's more a cultural thing that came from the african nation of angola.the techniques are hidden in the dance, just like you have forms in karate or kung fu.

  • ever kung fu or form of MA has its strages and wknises

  • STFU u suck naruto idiot. NARUTO SUCKS

  • i am sorry for that comment every kung fu is good at something and hungar is good at some things and capoeira is good at others

i was wrong to say that hungar is better

  • Moloney and Minch,

    SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTHS

  • woww chettttt

  • wow... :O

  • its amazing how they avoid hitting each other while at the same time maintaining the high speed movement

the african rhythm is so intence

  • esses caras não são boms....são fodas!!!!

  • They are buying way too fast. Can the people at least have a chance to play 30 seconds?

  • That's a pretty technical ronda!

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Just kind of boring games, their's a little interaction here and there but no real interesting dialogue, just kick-flip-kick. A little boring for a Mestres' roda.

And capoeiradon, you are a f-ing retard, please do not preach anymore about the art because you sound like an idiot, change your id please.

  • Wow, whats up your ass? These capoeiraistas are just having a celebrationary roda with alot of buying the game nice capoeira. If you are a mestre or even contra mestre then start to criticize these games. For now, shhh!!

  • Man it wasn't a major attack, pretty tame against some of the comments on here. I'm just saying its not really my style of game. Most of the kicks are so out of range that the other person doesn't even attempt to esquiva.

I see this kind of hyper-buying and estilo at my group's events and I didn't like it then either, so no offense to your group or those present buddy.

  • With all respect to minch333 below I agree, I find myself more and more watching angola videos just to get away from the "trickz" and see more conversation, more game.

  • nossa senho se benze e entra na roda

  • stunning!!

  • wow, talking about devilish capoeira...

    well i dont care whatsoever,

i only play capoeira for fun,

and i dont give a shit about those ritual,

just enjoy, that is how i put it..

  • OMG this is so cool!

  • where is this and which group please?....interesting...

Oh and....what's with all the aggression and swearing people.....don't we all have a lot to learn...no matter what level we are..?

    Axe xx

  • I Love Capoeira

  • I agree with janugwom in one aspect that capoeira is down played martial arts community. Although he is wrong that capoeira doesn't work in the streets. The video that you just seen is shit. Because for you to understand capoeira you have to study its elements. The differents between what you regularly see on the net is play verses fight. Play the person is showing off trying to look pretty, almost like break dancing. Fight is like kick boxing its nasty and disgraceful.

  • Capoeira is very powerful art as shoalin kung fu or muay thai. You have to remember capoeira is the newest of the ancient martial arts. capoeira has never been expose to war like other martial arts. If you look at the work out ethics it requirers alot of strength

  • Capoeira requires every part of your body. The thing people don't understand about capoeira it has never been perfected like most arts so the martial art community does not respect it. Capoeira is still evolving and would take another few centuries before you would see perfection.

  • capoeira has alot of students but they do not have the time or dedication to study capoeira to its full potential. You have to have Capoeira Temple. Plus all mestres would have to come together to help strengthen all weaknesses and flaws. If people got to really how powerful and evil capoeira really is. They would not join.

  • Capoeira posses alot of evil and there is some good. That's why its been a secret for so long. Plus its very religous, but don't students don't care about the subliminal message it posses because they want to learn tricks and to fight. That's why its consider a cult they will never till you its true purpose. Look up the word malicious its evil trickery. The biggest

evil trickery when the world beleive that the devil does not exist.

  • The devil exist in capoeira that's why they cross their chest like the catholics and pray for protection before entering the jogo(game). At any moment the game can get violent and vicious. That's I wish they were real mestres out there that would capoeira as being an african art. Instead of all the camadomble and evil it possesses. Capoeira is the secret strength of black people and Latinos. That's how break dancing started.

  • If you want to compare how powerful capoeira is. Look at blood sport with van damn. You remember how boring it was to watch kick boxing movies. Until tony jaa came to the seen. The only movies the were exciting was kung fu movies. That's the same thing with capoeira its boring now watching the same moves over and over and over. We are waiting for our tony jaa or eddie guru. You know what would be a good movie to see the remake of Teken. any ways to all capoeirista

  • dont you like the video? why?

  • theres no flow to it.. a guy enters the roda does a flip then leaves thats not capoeira.. anyways you dont have to be contra-mestre to do flips.. the intricate stuff is a lot more technically demanding than that pissh.

that being said.. they are good at flips

  • U really a capoeira teacher?

  • There is plenty of interaction in these games. They aren't just floreios. There is plenty of in and out, marked takedowns, and conversation. I would expect any capoeirista with 12 years of experience to be able to recognize that. Your prejudice inhibits your growth.

  • oh really?? mr. Professor "azul", first the cordao for profesor is white/yellow, because white/blue is for contramestre... second of all, i you see this ppl is not playing angola, is playing regional, and yes capoeira is not so used in martial arts, but still it have really powerfull moves... but ou should know it right? mr professor rainbow...

  • different schools have different belt systems.. cunt

  • janug you know nothing, capoeira moves are not showing off, and they are not ramdomly made, if u mistake your move on half second, you could get really hurt or even get kill, and so your partner, the move from one makes the move from the other...

  • Dude you don't know shit about Capoeira, if you wanna have a contact fight with your opponent, you tell him, and if he agrees its ok. I know because i train Capoeira myself.

  • nossa armada pulada puta sarobagem do caralho

  • :P all showin off... even then, i wouldnt want to play against a mestre of any kind :P

    -Tocador

  • isso sim q é capoeira! parabéns

  • agreed ... Even if it's Sao Bento Grande, playin' 5 seconds each is ... chaotic

  • fajolikan you obviously dont know what youre talking about

  • It's dumb to play capoeira for 6 seconds, that's not even playing, it s just kicking around, it seems none of these people need a partner. They could do the same thing with the air

  • Is that Muzenza video ??

If not is S Dobrado DVD !

  • I hate when there's so much buying in, it gets too chaotic and ruins the flow.

  • noway keeps the energy!!

  • they were definitely playing sao bento grande

  • regional=flip mode? I rasteira when you land!

  • If it would be real fight it could hurt Lol

  • watch film with VANDAME called "The Quest" and u see CAPO fight
