We look over the candy and take out anything home made or that has been or could have been opened. This year we may just stay home and hand out candy or go to a Church festival. In our small town, there is one main street that EVERYONE goes down for trick-or-treating. They shut the road down and the candy is good (lol), but its just soooo many people!

I let my loose in the neighborhood at about 13. About 4-5 of us moms were still walking the little ones but being in suburbia and with the no getting candy out of the bag till it is inspected at home (so I could get all the good stuff) and no going inside even your friends house rules in place and of course home by 11. Halloween was always my fav time of the year.

Question: when you walk the kids do you get dressed too??? I do :)

We always checked every piece of candy in that pillow case. I'm a mistrustful person. I also used to tell my kids that the Reese's cups didn't look safe and that they wouldn't like them anyway. Which made them mistrustful.
