You get a boot if you have a certain amount of tickets you haven't paid. So he probably owed money to the city, therefore they had to boot it. You don't get booted for parking in a handicap spot, you get a ticket.

@hentosama the issue isn't whether or not the car is handicapped, since they usually only tow or give a ticket if it is. but they booted it meaning this person had multiple unpaid fines. and now they're stuck there unable to move their car so the next handicapped person can get a proper space. You missed the point completely

They booted this vehicle because of unpaid traffic tickets. They would not boot it because of parking in the handicap spot. You would have gotten a ticket atleast and/or towed not booted.

You get a boot if you have a certain amount of tickets you haven't paid. So he probably owed money to the city, therefore they had to boot it. You don't get booted for parking in a handicap spot, you get a ticket.
