@Rukia91554 I personally find the quests, gameplay, graphics and everything about LOTRO far superior to WoW. I have played the WoW trial quite a few times, and got dead bored.

@calakiduki Well, yeah you can. :L You can play the story. The only things you can't do (i think) are things like trading.

@comfan93 you can play the story until level 20. which is hardly any of the content in the game. Also, you cant talk to anybody, which is highly annoying.

@calakiduki Eh, still... It wasn't enough to be interesting for the first 20 levels. For me. I'm not saying WoW is bad, I mean, it can't be to have as much success as it has... I'm just saying my personal preference is LOTRO. But that might just be cause I love LOTR

@calakiduki What are you talking about? You can't talk to anyone? Bullshit. The epic story line is free to play from level 1-75. You get Starting areas, Bree Land, and Lone Lands quest packs completely free - that last until the low 30s. Do some research =)

This looks pretty fantastic, i'd like to play another online game apart from WoW. Can anyone tell me if this has a lot of good Roleplayers and is generally a good fun game?

Roleplay is generally fantastic. But the central is the Prancing Pony, it's rather hard to find elsewhere. But there are special hobbit/elven/dwarf kinships that try to make the respective areas alive.

Seriously, I got caught up playing from 3pm-2am every day during summer holidays roleplaying.

I've played the WoW free trial. Couldn't even finish it, I got incredibly bored. This game has a great storyline, better graphics, better roleplay... Just better.

However, I recommend you try both games on free trial before buying, that's what I did. Had to force myself to play WoW, got addicted to LOTRO.

Unfortunately, the game does not focus on PVP. You can be an evil character in one area only, where your main task is to just win points by defeating the good guys. But you can't do any main quest.
