LISTENING TO GOODIE MOB MAKES ME WANNA CRY SOMETIMES THEY ARE JUST THAT GOOD. DIDNT THIS COME OUT IN LIKE 1995? THAT WAS A GOOD YEAR FOR ME I REMEMBER HEARING THIS SONG AS A KID
i always enjoyed this track. when this came out i was more into the new york shit but i still couldn't help being drawn to the outkast/goodie mob sound. i liked how the southern rap sounded before the master p and mannie fresh production style got real popular. now there's a whole lotta tracks done with just synthesizers. although i guess that way you don't have to clear samples and pay royalties....
@horriblebreast yea T.I.'s first album Im Serious stayed a little true to that southern sound.. with organs, guitars, bass, etc.. but after that he deviated from it. I like how Outkast and Goodie Mob stayed true to hip hop form while still staying true to their southern background
man i miss them days back in the 90's everything was so pure back then everybody was hungry but now iont kno wat the fuck 2 say but i will say this subliminals, fakers, lames, an them damn sell-outs fuckin the rap game up 4 the south an everywhea else
Welcome young bucks to the dirty south. All the junk you all claim started right here. Goodie Mob, Cool Breeze and the Dungeon Family. This track is too good! If anyone is interested, check out Parental Advisory(PA). The Dungeon at its true beginning!
dope track, love them guyz....peace 2 goodie mob, outkast (best of south; fuck lil wayne); peace 2 spice 1, ice cube, mc ren, dr dre, yella, d.o.c., whole n.w.a. posse, cmw, p.e., krs-one (bdp), gang starr, grand puba, slick rick, 2 pac, ultramagnetic mc's (kool keith), masta ace, marco polo, living legends, jedi mind tricks & army of the pharaos, paris and a few real cool rapper, too....
....but todays rap scene is kamurshol², ya know, its only rappin about how you can fuck bitches and wear bling blings; pure nonsense, no good flows, no tight beats and only bitchass actors....fuck lil wayne, souljah boy, 50 cent, jay z, puff daddy, junior mafia, g-unit, and fuck fake punks like 'em....
@ricochet217 word is fuckin bond I was bumpin this shit early...southernplayalistic muuuuhgs....this south shit aint nothin new fuckin TELA, ....fuckin ghetto mafia...treal shit...
@ricochet217 kid your such a fucking gooof its ridiculous. dissing Jay-Z and Puff, puff helped start all the real shit in the 90's. made biggie who he was. Goes to show your just some loser ass punk who needs to whine
@bfliper Go fuck yourself. Puff was the reason hip hop died. Never saw a 50, 000 dollar car in videos before that faggot started producing. Learn your shit. Hip hop is for the poor, how can we relate to making millions when the greater population is still snatchin for crumbs?
@TheWeaponSmith so ur gonna hate on Puff just because he had the smarts to get rich? sounds like sum fucker is jealous. dont get me wrong. Puff sucks at rapping. but dont hate because he made it and u havent done shit in ur life.
@AirForcebro28 uve just admitted he sucks at rapping ? so how is a rap fan saying someone ruined hip hop cos they suck hating? haha u just said he sucked urself?
@dazza2610 he said Puff was the reason hip hop died. Puff didnt kill hip hop. yeah, he sucks at rapping but just cuz he sucks at rapping doesnt mean he killed hip hop. and if it wasn't for Puff, we never woulda got Biggie. I dont like Puff's music but i know he didnt kill hip hop. and real hip hop is about gettin out the ghetto and makin it rich. He's hating on Puff for having a 50,000 dollar car n a video. big fucking deal. thats the point of hip hop! Making it big when every1 was doubting you
Hold on hold on! T.I. and Paul Wall can spit somethin' Cham too. The south to ME started fuckin' up around '06-'07 when D4L and DFB started gettin' plays!

how am i a stupid asshole. dumb ass motherfucka i was defendin southern hip hop and hoodrichGMP said that southern hip hop sucks but he is a dumbass cuz he just said props to Nappy Rootz and he thinks that there are no good underground rappers. suck a dick lil bitch. suck hoodrich's dick since you already ridin on it. matter fact you probably are hoodrich you wack ass lame. hahaha multiple accounts man i knew you wasnt hood at all. computer nerd bitch
i called hoodrichgmp a asshole.instead of awnsering my questions you had 2 talk shit 2 me.you really pissed me off because i hate when people tell me 2 suck a dick.i'm not a motherfucking gay punkassbitch!!!only things you can find me sucking on is yo mommy's tits and clit.fuck hoodrich and fuck you and every motherfucker lookin like you!!!!

maybe you talk like that 2 your crackfiend mother but not 2 me lil pussy.shame i'm not able 2 meet up with you.i'd buss yo head true a window and cut your neck with glas fool.u sure don't know me
this was and is the shit from way back in my college days---goodie mob and a blunt first thing in the a.m. The whole cd is some real shit just listen to the words and inhale then exhale.
@kayhan82 actually for Goodie Mob the one that started it all is "Get Up, Get Out, & Get Something" on Outkast's album "Southern Playalistic" which really is what re-kicked off the southern rap movement. (aside from Scarface & Geto Boys). Cell Therapy is my song though. It's timeless and so relevant today.
@kayhan82 Great as that song is (and it's a classic), this song is on another level. I think he's saying that most trap music and even the term "dirty south" can be traced back to this song.
I'm glad i was actually popping and fresh and living in the A back then. Nothing was like the A back then. Now it's full of homos and fake ass eastcoast niggas.lol.
Dungeon Family is the damn foundation of this "Dirty SOuth". Goodie mob outkast coolbreez wichdoctor evrybody else in DF i forgot to mention mad down south and especially atlanta music what it is today and these new comers wit this snap bullshit and superman bullshit is just disrespecting the pioneers of atlanta music ... DF!
"hip hop" to me isn't a movement, a culture, or just music,....HIP HOP is the people who bring all this shit together and how you are involved in it. Whether you are an artist, or a club hopper,..think of it like this,...crack wouldn't sell without fiends to buy it,...the same way with "crap rap"!!! as long as there is a market for it SOMEBODY is gonna buy it! Keep Ol Skool rhyme alive yall,,educate these yung bucks!!
what's funny is that, being a die hard new yorker, i used to bitch about a lot of southern hip hop, with little exception. you really never realize what you've got until it's gone, or at least replaced by some inferior bullshit. long live real hip hop...and that definitely includes the old school DIRTY south!
what's funny is that, being a die-hard new yorker, i used to bitch about southern hip hop back in the day. you never realize what you have until it's gone, or at least replaced by inferior bullshit. long live real hip hop...and that definitely includes the old school south.
Amen. Dudes like Goodie, Mr. Mike, Outkast, Cool Breeze, Mother Superior, Skillz, ect. all put it down for the South. Forget all that P-poppin' stuff!
cool breeze doesn't get credit for giving the south a name. a lot people don't know that cool breeze came up with dirty south. at first it was just the name of the south side of Atlanta
I remember the good ole days in hip hip where you could listen to song and learn something. these cats out today are traitors. they might as well be in black face and eatin watermelon in they videos. what the hell is wipe me down? MC Hammer had way more talent and integrity than these clowns today.
this that shit that started the movement..we need mo shit like this & mo groups like goodie mob..a lotta these niggas aint doing the south justice nowdays..all that pussypoppin music comin out of ATL yall niggaz need to stop..them niggaz is like mc hammer with fitted caps..the shit is corny.thats why im givin yall nothing but the best
Damn right ! shit nowadays is WACKED, so wacked it shouldnt even get radio play Goodie MOB to me makes me feel good inside remembering the good old days, the new shit gives me a fucking headache !
To be honest, I keep forgetting THIS ios what Southern Hip Hop is really about, not that radio stuff, I grew up on East Coast CLASSIC Hip Hop during the Golden Era, but I keep forgetting that the Dirty South really produced some classics.
Even though N.Y. was hating on everything that wasn't coming from there even they can look back now and say damn West, East, and South during these days actually had talent......Now nobody has talent so what would you rather have those days or these??? THOSE

Also, Cool Breeze's verses are deep and fairly underrated. He should've gotten a quotable in the Source back then.
Also also: Big Boi bodies this.

cool breeze doesn't get credit for giving the south a name. a lot people don't know that cool breeze came up with dirty south. at first it was just the name of the south side of Atlanta

To be honest, I keep forgetting THIS ios what Southern Hip Hop is really about, not that radio stuff, I grew up on East Coast CLASSIC Hip Hop during the Golden Era, but I keep forgetting that the Dirty South really produced some classics.
