  • The first time I saw this, it actually took me a couple of words into his imitation line until I realized it was Al speaking, not E.B. Oh, how I laughed after.

  • He sounds like kermit the frog.

  • I saw this for the first time last week and rewound it 3 or 4 times, fuckin hilarious,my favourite bit of the whole series

  • Hahah adams made this thing take 100 takes.

  • He does it perfectly!

  • @xbfir3x Thank you for posting this clip. I finished season 1...

Now,,,, Can't get enough of Deadwood!

  • lmfao.... Al Swearengen is my fucking hero

  • More Deadwood to the people!

  • LOL!!!!

  • You know, to see Ian McShane in gag reels and what not, and how wacky he can be. I'm willing to bet this was ad-libbed.

  • @khyea91

What are you arguing? Milch's plan was four seasons, they cut him short a season. The story wasn't finished.

  • @sedeyus you know, even though they cancelled the show prematurely, I say they ended the show exactly where it was supposed to end. With the billionaire who everyone knows got away with murdering at least 4 people, riding out of town and looking down on the law man like he knows he got the game rigged and there's nothing the sheriff...or anyone else can do about it. That's exactly how things go in our society today

  • @RunawayTrane

You might be right. I still would have liked to see this cast and crew have another year. There was a lot of interesting material to work with, Bullock losing his election and not giving up the post, the theater opening, one of the fires taking out most of the camp. It was a shame that HBO was in a weird tail-spin there for awhile. Deadwood would have probably survived once HBO started taking into account OnDemand.

  • That's was the funniest thing I ever heard on that show I bet it took over 10 takes to shoot

  • I wonder how many takes it took to keep everyone from laughing. Titus Welliver looks like he is stifling a giggle big-time!

  • @khyea91

No it wasn't. The plan was for four seasons, HBO ended at three.

  • ahhhh! my favorite part!!!!

  • Oh man, I had totally forgotten about this and now it's got me chuckling again. Thanks for the upload :)

  • SWE'GEN!

  • Now when I watch it without subs McShane sounds more and more from UK

  • Spot on.

What a talented cocksucker Ian McShane is.

  • i was so suprised by it when i first saw this scnee

  • that was the greatest line in the whole series,I about shot my beverage outta my nose cause didn't expect that from Al.He totally nailed it.

  • This was fucking hilarious. Funniest bit of the whole series.

  • yes thats the funniest line i think, every time I think I have seen the funniest scene one comes along to better it

  • HBO has to bring this show back. It's not too late. It was one of the best shows ever

  • @captainnthecowboy i agree entirely.

  • what season and episode is this?

  • @paulnewmanluver

First episode of the second season.

  • @EchiLoki thank you!!!!

  • How did Ian do that?! He sounded just like the other guy!

  • this must have been done in a hundred takes, I know I'd start laughing every time I heard Ian McShane doing that voice. and you can see Titus Welliver wants to start laughing.

  • Genius!!!

  • "It is I, EB Farnum, beaten past recognition by a candidate for another office!"

  • Fuck I love this part. Adams, you are delicious BTW.

  • Ian McShane as Swearengen and William Sanderson as Farnum were my two favorite actors and characters on this show. I'll forever miss Deadwood; easily one of the greatest shows HBO ever put out.

  • you know adams wants to laugh

  • @AboveCityLimits titus probably did laugh any way in the outtakes. he's the dude that played adams.

  • @AboveCityLimits yeah, they should have just let him laugh. It would have been real, and the character prob would have laughed in real life.

  • haha! I feel bad for EB now

  • Possibly the funniest thing I ever saw on TV! Love Ian McShane in this role.
