Hey Sparky was that a fire damaged home being rebuilt? I have worked on a few home rebuilds after a fire and they almost always paint the old wood with that white paint.
Great job wiring things up. I did'nt see any secondary pan for the air handler did it pass inspection?
@Nutintoitbut2doit Yes it is a fire repair. This project is scheduled for inspection this next week depending on if the roof is finished,we'll see what happens with the drain pan.
@tbwjs Mfg name plate,ul listing, size all come into play. Some motors have internal protection such as a pool motor for example that doesn't require fused disconnect.
i like to trim out the light and the plug and the switch at the time of the rough. the guy that tought me how to wire houses always said, wire it as if you will trim it out. meaning make it easy on your self. we always would trim out the dishwasher, disposal plug also
Here we must have ALL UNITS in Attic's in Safety Over Flow Pans !!! (don't want to Pay for Water Damage) ...
We must have Safety Shut Off on Secondary Condensate and a Float Safety in the Pan !!!
When Feasible we Run the Condensate from Pan, to a Highly Visible Location , and Inform Customers if they see ANY Water from this Pipe to immediately shut down Unit and Call Tech !!!
