i upgraded, i am not sure premiere or after effects will work, i mean after effects cs5 require's 64bit cpu as far as i know, and even if it worked it would be slow as a dog. You should upgrade to windows 7 since xp is an old rusted dog, it will run smoother and even your battery will last longer.

@kiwiboy8492 I have this laptop.... it came with windows 7 starter pack overloaded with Toshiba apps once i re-installed win 7 (clean) it worked like a charm

is the nb200 capable of running the Aero theme? I can't tell because of your wallpaper...I use Windows 7 Basic (On my desktop cause it sucks) and it has a blue tinge to the taskbar

of course you can play videos, even 720p play fine, they have some stuttering for 2-3 seconds at start, but after it works fine.

no i don't have an antivirus installed, i don't use antivirus software in general because they are all just a bunch of resource hogs. I know what i am searching on the net, therefore i am always clean, i scan online once a month, just in case. If you really need an AV, go with Microsoft security essentials, because it's light and pretty good as far as i know

yes i installed it from a usb device and there was no problem with the drivers, they were installed by windows 7

no... it says in the title, it's windows 7 professional, and it should work with 1gb of ram but i advise you to upgrade to 2gb.

hi i have the same netbook with the 6 cell battery and i was hesitating to put windows 7 or vista coz i was scared it my slow it down coz of its intel atom procecor so is it slower orr the same

probably acceptable, dreamveawer is less intensive than photoshop so... it shoul run pretty ok.

i installed win 7 prof. on this computer and had no issues with drivers. I did not have to install anything, everything has worked perfectly!

I'm going to be buying this shortly, I'm going to change the HD for a Runcore SSD and get a 2 gig C4 Kingston RAM to max this.

Can I ask you, how did you change the windows 7 log on and log off?

What is the messaging service turtle thingy you're using?

And what is the fan icon on your task bar?

windows 7 was installed from a flash drive, it was easy, what can i say about adobe stuff, photoshop runs pretty cool, the rest i don't know, browsing is nice, running firefox with noscript, if you have a full flash website it will chop a little bit on it, but it's pretty ok, very satisfied with the netbook

I have the NB-200 10G and installed Win7 on it the second day I had it. I runs great. I've since installed an extra gb of memory so things are even better.
