LoL my main gripe with the wii is the required overuse & at times the unessary or lack of the wii motion or nunchuck. Games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2, Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, Mad World, Call of Duty 3, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, etc only the nunchuck or motion is required its dumb not to have an option of using the classic or GC controller. Why would I want to use the nunchuck on a shooting game(Call of Duty 3)? speaking of shooting games.....

I totally agree, i played it at my friends house and it mostly sucks. the steering wheel controller is garbage id rather push buttons. the baseball games just made my arms hurt the next day. Xbox all the way
i know what you mean. i hate the sensor cause it easily causes you you to get stick in one area of a game cause no matter how you move your Wii nunchuck it just won't work. Thats why i have not played my Wii in ages. You get stuck and can't advance unless you put in a game cube controller. It's totally pathetic.
In the Wii's defense the graphics are a bit better then the Gamecube but no where near as good as the jump from the 360 to PS3. Just look at Super Mario Galaxy 2 for example.
Nintendo survived during the N64/Gamecube days due to the huge success of the Game Boy/Game Boy Color/Game Boy Advance which was selling extremely well.
The reason why Nintendo choose smaller discs for the Gamecube was to combat piracy.
As you said though Nintendo needs better 3rd party support.
