  • I feel the first half of Dig Out Your Soul was good (except High Horse Lady). After Falling Down, the album just falls flat on its face. This song most certainly should have made the cut.

  • @scorpion3128 I agree although 'to be where there's life' is amazing.

  • this song tops over half of dig out your soul. other then im outta time, liam songs on dig out your soul took a big step back in soldier on and aint got nothin. noel had some great tracks on this album, but high horse was unneeded. to be where theres life is a strong song from gem, but nature of reality from andy is trash

  • New to Youtube...

Add me ☮♥. Come All Together ;)!

  • This song is better than a half of Dig Out Yer Soul

  • Echoing what many others have said. This track should have been an original album track without a doubt. There are a few songs on the album that should have never made the final cut.

  • 2:45

no one even compares when it comes to making music!

  • "Remember the shiiiiiiiiiiine"

  • not a single?

    not even an album track?

    WTF!

    amazing song

  • it is very good music

  • This is what annoys me about Noel. He did the sequencing for the albums and selected which tracks went on. And what, because Liam didn't record some vocal (Record Machine) and got married instead, he leaves this off to make a point? Because there is no way Noel thought 'Ahh it's a good song but Soldier On trumps it!' Would have been a perfect album closer, I suppose two outstanding Liam tracks on a record (along with I'm Outta Time) would be too much for the chief.

  • best song liam has written in his oasis carrer

  • @Liveforever819 You Forgot "Won't Let You Down" !!!

  • its not even fair how good this song is. i would cut off a toe for a song like this to get my career started. yet it gets shoved behind tracks like soldier on and aint got nothin. its a shame.

  • brilliant song!!

  • why they were soo good man?

  • Come all together!

  • @AxeHomeless it's come on together

  • It sounds like Beady eye..... with BALLS

  • @MOndoAusterO Noels guitar is the balls right lol?

  • I love this, they remind me of REM and I love both of them

  • Best Liam song there is.

  • i like soldier on!!!!!!.

  • @bichi8888 I like Soldier On too! lol

  • beatiful song

  • soldier on is shite. this is a top tune

  • watch?v=lopsxnQMX-c&feature=related

    good acoustic cover

  • Why isn't this available on iTunes? (without having to buy the NCIS album).

  • @starkyliam it is coz i bought it a while ago

  • @starkyliam it is, look harder

  • @AKLPUNDERGROUND look where? lol...

  • @starkyliam just search Boy With The Blues in the search box, it should be there, avaliable with I Believe In All or just by itself, hope this helped

  • @AKLPUNDERGROUND i did that, and it gave me the one under NCIS, and i can't buy that song without having to buy the whole NCIS album...i've searched the whole deal, but none from Oasis...maybe i oughta look again? idk...but thanks!

  • @starkyliam sorry then mate, its probably UK exclusive

  • @AKLPUNDERGROUND oh, well that makes sense then; I wish I had a UK account so I can get exclusive access to all the good music, like "The Death of You and Me" by Noel ...everyone in the UK has it, yet us here in the US don't :( but thanks anyways!

  • @starkyliam at least you guys get If I Had A Gun, that tunes way better the TDOYAM, the albums out soon anyway *yes!*

  • The chorus let's itmdown majorly but the rest of it is incredible.

  • dig out your soul with this song would have been 1000 times better

  • Anyone else think this song is about Noel?

  • Best Liam's song BY FAAAAAAAAR

  • 帰ってこい!何十年経ってでも

  • @velvet0522 i couldn't agree more :P

  • I can only find this as a bonus track on iTunes of the TV series NCIS. As good as it is I don't wanna spend $11 on it :(

  • @blackhawks2009 has nobody discovered tools like atubecatcher etc??

Can use it to save in .wav, .mp3 .wma, and a whole host of others, even does video...

    Seriously people, get clued up!:D

  • i know every fucker says it but the amount of b-sides that are better than some of the the album tracks is crazy, tune!!

  • awesome music.

  • How the fuck did Soldier on get on the album over this?

  • @Mgooy Soldier on is a fantastic song!!! It could get over everything!!!

  • @Mgooy Quite simply: FUCK KNOWS !!!!! Soldier On was a bit dreary, by LG's standards - this is fuckin Quality - a 'proper' Album Anthem, and would of put Dig Out Your Soul on a totally different playing field,....

..... The mysteries of the Universe, eh....

  • @Mgooy It should of replaced "High horse", "To be where theres life" or "Nature of Reality".. Soldier On is decent imo. They shoulda put "Record Machine", "Stop the clocks" or "Idlers Dream" on some of there albums but looks like Noel was savin em for himself. lol

  • @W3LSH100 yeah, I get that. I can listen to any of the last few songs on the album on their own and like them, but with all of them toether the album just gets stagnant. Falling down would've been a better closing track imo but I dunno:L it's all in the past now anyway and we've got Beady Eye and Noel solo releasing music so I'm happy :)

  • @Mgooy Because Noel meant that The Boy With The Blues should have another arrangement, and also The Coral found forgotten demo's by Oasis in a recording facility, amongst them Soldier On, and kept telling Oasis how briliant it was. The funny thing was that no one of them remembered the song. Since they didn't remember the chords and words, they listened to it and worked it out together. It may've been better/amazing in it's original form, and not so good when they tried to rewrite it.

  • @Mgooy Oasis were planning an 8th album so they kept this, stop the clocks and record machine back for it.

After 2009, it wasn't going to happen so Noel took stop the clocks and record machine for his solo album (google it, they're both on his new album) - Boy With The Blues had Liam singing, so Noel scrapped it.

Don't listen to all the crap about this being a hidden track, it's bollocks.

Noel thought that those 3 tracks were the best oasis songs ever - which they probably are.

  • @HennoGarvey This track was officially released on the deluxe album of Dig Out Your Soul so this track wasn't saved for a possible 8th album..... ;)

  • @HennoGarvey wrong on soooooooooooooooo many levels

  • @Mgooy Soldier On is a great, great song as well. This is classic, Liam's at his best here.

  • @Mgooy Soldier on is good though, hell they all are. This song is pure class though. I dunno, listen to the whole album through in order. They do it all on purpose.

  • @Mgooy Yeah! And I cant believe I just found out about this track. Guess I must've just sobered up

  • @Mgooy one word...noel

  • why are liams b-sides and unreleased tracks so better than his album tracks? that includes beady eye. this and so many others are incredible.

  • @avfcoasis they're noel's

  • @spalooch45 not all of them :S

  • Carajo, cada vez me encanta màs esta banda que desvaneciò.

  • this tops lets all make beleive as not only their best b-side but the best b-side of all time. boss tune

  • @jackfender24 absolutely. Oasis were so big a band, they don't need their best songs to go on the album, it's like they're savin it for the b-sides. absolute boss tune. come on beady eye!

  • rember the ssshhhiiinnneee

  • I wasn't expecting something this good, this is fucking sick

  • Come on together, come on together, come on together for you...

  • excellent!!

  • just noticed now that the picture on this clip is from the wonderwall video

  • this is an ace song

  • 1:20 - 1:32

    nice melody, really like it

  • Liam's BEST in my opinion ;)

  • @DannyMadFerIt YES. too fucking right

  • Great song, shit ending. Liam refused to let noel come up with a better ending, noel could have finished this so much better.

  • @noelwannabe i like the ending man, proper epic! come together... repetitive but it's meant for an album closer in my mind. it pisses me off more that noel left this off dig out your soul. i suppose liam having the two of the strongest tracks on the record would be too much for him. though the turning is probably the best tune on there in my opinion.

  • @dave790 nah falling down, bag it up, waiting for the rapture, im outta time, the shock of lightning are all better songs.

  • they left this off dig out your soul when they had nature of reality on it seriously this liams best song along side im outta time

  • Liam's songwriting at the end of Oasis was as good as Noel's. Very underaprecieted in my oppinion!

  • this inspires me to make a song i will call, "The Idol of Your Dreams"

  • Still can't believe they didn't put this on an album, could even be a single ...

  • It should be Boy With The BLUES (like something with ManCity) :D

    Btw... LOVE IT !!!!!!!

  • why couldnt he write sumthin like this on beady eye?? Noely g obviously must have helped on this.

  • God this must be one of liams best songs , Cant understand why it wasnt included on DBTT.

  • massive! hope beady eye will bring out tunes like that! but this is a liam song, isn't it? so i think this is something we can expect from the eye.

  • Can I just say to all those people who thinks Noel is the only one with songwriting talents of the two brothers, please quit kissing Noel's ass and open your ears. This is as good as anything on Dig Out Your Soul that Noel wrote.

  • wow, this is a class song, love it

  • yea i got the blues today too...... fuck it im still MAD 4 IT!!!!!

  • really honest tune from them, pity it was the last.............to be continued

  • if this was on Dig Out Your Soul it would be the ending track... it's very simlar to Soldier On... i like both songs but i think this is a step above Soldier On.

  • Was this written by Liam?

  • @chrisjld Yes ;)

  • @inesita8bel Did Liam write this?? Seriously?? Wow. I didnt know that. This is like one of the top songs from Oasis!

  • @chrisjld Yes.

  • I've never heard this before, and it is a class tune. Actually I am quite pissed I've never heard it before, cuz it is REALLY good.

  • @EzraGoldstein same here haha

  • i use to have a friend on facebook who shared this song with me.his name is Alfie bossman. i think of him whenever im listening to this.

  • No one else think this one of their best ever songs? I think the ending is just amazing, it's not like anything they've done before.

  • Really good song, wow. I like 63 of Oasis songs. This makes 64.

  • this should be on the album instead of that high horse lady crap which was the only bad song on the album.

  • high horse lady is top man dont know what ur on about. this is a good one by liam

  • @airmedi27 Just my opinion we all have different opinions .

  • @RATMW i know but the footsteps going through the rocks or whatever and the seagulls in the background and then the walking on the porch of the house that fades into falling down, that doesnt have appeal to you? i found it very clever

  • @RATMW I like this and High horse lady. They are both good songs. I think they both deserve to go on the album.

  • @RATMW GOYHHL wasnt meant to be on the album, it was supposed to be a B side for "I Wanna Live A Dream In My Record Machine" which was not finished in time to be put on the album. Personally though GOYHHL aint a bad song.

  • @tozza7157 how do you know it wasnt meant to be on the album?

  • @TheKaizer16 on the DOYS deluxe edition on the commentary dvd noel said that Falling Down was to come after I Wanna Live A Dream (which they couldnt finish) so they had to put something else in its place (GOYHHL). He also added that he would have released that as a single rather than Falling Down.

  • @tozza7157 is there anywhere i could watch it on the internet or if youve got time could you put it up on youtube

  • @TheKaizer16 it wont be easy to upload it coz the disc is so encrypted, but i'll try

  • @tozza7157 it aint bad (when was an oasis song ever) but record machine, in my opinion was better. sad that it wasnt on the album. i'd heard it only wasnt finished cause liam hadnt done vocals, but i think the track was great with noel on vocals! hrmph. ah well.

  • @theblueflashinglight it amazes me that can happen though. i mean, if noel or the band really wanted the tune done, i'm sure liam could've laid down vocals at another point. i think he went to get married the weekend record machine was meant to be finished. he also missed adding vocals to a tune called 'come on, it's alright'...i think.

  • @dave790 yeah he did. sigh. i dunno , maybe they had to release it on a certain day? in any case, noel shouldve just put the song on with his own vocals.

  • I like this.

  • what an epic ending... COME ON TOGETHER!!!

  • i seriously hope beady eye play this live

  • this is a tune, who ever says liam can't write a song is dumb!!

  • Liam needs to write more like this and Andy needs to write more like Turn Up The Sun.

  • last song on dig out your sould woulda been perfect, feels like a 90's oasis ballad

  • i think liam is about to shock a few people? noel has tunes locked away for a rainny day but liam has 30-40 songs knocking about, thats without gem and andys stuff which isn;t bad! noel said himself that liams songs are brilliant, this stuff only leaks out because they want it to! all i know is if they do actually release an album each next year then 2011 is going to be a great year!!!

  • its just fucking ridiculous how this wasnt on dig out your soul

  • Only reason this wasnt on 'DOYS' is because noel was still in the band.Liam Gem and Andy obviously have talent and good songs behind them.Noel would rather pander to the crowds by playing extended shit versions of acoustic songs. You just need to look at the set lists for the 2008 2009 tours. They are a joke.Maybe as a songwriter Noel has matured and he wants to go another way. Good.I dont think the songs he makes now are anywhere near as good. Liam Andy and Gem have been silenced for to long.

  • nice one!!

  • Great song!! De puta madre!!

  • Great song!!

  • Who wrote this?

  • @96Dano liam wrote it, along with so many great unapreciated tracks he has wrote..

born on a different cloud, guess god thinks im able, song bird, im outta time and this, and a few others that he has wrote are actually classics underated....

if you just put all the songs liams wrote on a album, its probally as a whole better than most of oasis albums.. if not THE best

  • @quickmantan yeah i know other songs he wrote but i didnt know this wrote liam thank you :)

and i think too its one of their best album if not the best

  • @quickmantan Now, now...don't be foolish. Liam had a few good tunes like this one but Noel is lightyears ahead. Champagne Supernova is alone better than all of Liam's tracks combined.

  • @quickmantan even Little James, musically was a ok tune, just lyrically it was under par... meaning of soul is awesome.

  • @96Dano liam

  • @Shaguar66 yeah now i know but anyway thanks :)

btw im in love with this song right now :D

  • If Liam can write more songs like this and songbird and Andy Bell writes more like Turn Up The Sun, Beady Eye is going to be great.

  • @onlyeye1 ... what ya'll know 'bout killin'?

  • cant wait Beady eye! i am sure liam preparing something special...

  • @ThinkKid Beady Eye's album is out...nothing really special is it?

  • @ThinkKid now, noel fucks liam with the dead of u and me haha

  • @sebaorejass the death of you and me is just a new version of the importance of being idle. completely different to beady eye so he won't fuck them.

  • @Shaguar66 haha take it easy men, i just playing.. i love oasis, and beady eye and noel, but i think that noel alone is betther than liam...

  • Im an oasisi fan and have been since the beginning. Ive also been lucky enough to get to several gigs.

I agree this song should be on Dig Out Your Soul as it's a crap tune and should be in company with all them other crap tunes on that album.

That album is dire. Oasis were trying too hard to be The Beatles when they should really just focus on being Oasis and giving us those tunes that made us fall in love with them in the first place. I know you all agree.

  • @onlyeye1 I don't agree, they have always tired to replicate beatles song. What on earth are you on about? Your trying to tell me that "Shock of the ligthing" is a shit song or "Falling Down". The first 8 tracks on DOYS are blinding. Open your ears pal.

  • @katoness wake up and smell the Sunday coffee my friend. Shock Of The Lightning is a repetitive boring song that makes alot of noise and the lyrics don't inspire much either, I get a headache listening to that song..pass me the Anadin.

Falling Down..yeah i agree it's a decent song, the only one on the album. I don't mind listening to it, but it doesn't make me want to hit the replay button.

Now 1 decent tune on a an album makes for a crap album. I know you'll all agree.

  • @katoness while im on a roll. In the early days they used all different kinds of influences in their music, one journalist described them in the early days as being like everything and nothing he had heard before.

Now their songs on the last album just don't excite. It's drab, dreary and and they've just made it sound too arty farty for my liking.

If i was at an Oasis concert and SOFTL came on, i couldn't singalong to it or would want to punch the air with euphoria. But if it was Slideway

  • not enough fans in the sauga! Wake up fuckers!!!

  • I hope Beady Eye play this live when they go out on tour.

  • oasis is the best band in the world! :D

  • Oasis best band of all time, John Lennon would have been proud when there producing stuff like this.

  • where can i download this song?

  • i hadnt heard this one I thought new all their music

  • should have closed the album... would have been amazing

  • A Liam Gallagher epic. Should have been a single on an album.

  • I Fucking Love It

  • This song is on the NCIS TV Soundtrack.

  • i'm a massive oasis fan, but i dont think this song is anything special.

if yer gonna compare liam and noels songwriting, listen to songs like 'stop the clocks' and 'record machine', real quality songs. liams songwriting is decent, but i'm much lookin forward to noels solo project, bearing in mind Oasis was basically noels solo project in the first place, anyroad, live forever!

  • @123duncs Well thats the main joke.. Noel has just been giving much more of his time for his songs. Liam is as talented as him but he's still looking for his style.. Noel had all his youth to write all those classics of Stop The Clocks.

    Liam gonna be the greatest

  • @jonnytheoasisfan you dont understand,... i'm talkin about the song 'stop the clocks' not the album. Liam had all his youth to write as well,.. dont be stupid. Noel has much more talent than Liam,... after four albums, liam had only wrote one song...'little james' and its shit, its quite catchy but its not a great song, .. gem archer and andy bell are better songwriters than liam, 'turn up the 'sun' written by andy bell on Dont Believe The Truth is one of the greatest oasis tracks ever,..

  • @123duncs Oh yeah.. sorry about misunderstanding. But I still think Liam is almost as talented as noel.. he just been way lazier as a writer through all these years. and lets not forget that noel started writing 5 years before Liam even joined in band.. so I believe time will give Liam more classics but of course Noel already has the ability. Liam still looking for it.

  • @123duncs So you are not looking on the new Album by Beady Eyes?

  • it's ironic that liam hates singing acoustic sets and thats basically all the stuff he writes! guess god thinks im able, boy with the blues, lets all make believe, im outta time etc etc... he may have to get used to singing acoustic sets now that he hasn't got noel anymore to give him his breaks off stage???

  • Another amazing Liam song, his song writing keeps getting better with each album. Can't wait to hear new material from him and Beady Eye. Also, we also need Oasis to release another B-Side album or even a box set of everything that was left off of the Masterplan. So many quality tunes.

  • Liams best?

  • this is brilliant! Who wrote this? Liam?

  • this song is fucking mega. shoulda been on the album for sure, but atleast we have it here

  • haven listened to this in ages, fuckin quality

  • i'm another freak voting for a masterplan b sides 2 cd

  • when i listen to songs like this one or "born on a different cloud" i start to think that liam is the better songwriter of the gallagher brothers

  • @Shaguar66 i can see where you're coming from mate, liam is a fucking quality song writer. but lets be honest, noel is the better by far. live forever, wonderwall, champagne supernova...

  • @Shaguar66 but surely then you listen to all the early Bsides, not to mention then first 4 albums and realise that NOEL is the genius.

  • This song and cast no shadow are the ID of a man

  • you turn the world around.......

  • 25, 16 pathethic

  • Love the piano on this one
