I love the vid but maybe should you not be doing this with wild turkey bourbon perhaps wild turkey rare breed? it is a great bourbon that stands up to all kinds of mixed drinks because the spice is so great and wonderful
I think a remake or side by side comparison would be great!
so the makers mark normaly is sweet with slight spice at the end its normaly 6-7 years old but this makers mark is more spice but you could have got a different bottling, they only do 19 casks max per bottling. you know jim bean black is a few bucks lower then makers mark and is actualy older they bottle at 8 years old its more sweet and stands up pretty damn well to makers mark you should try this for mixes i know you can get this one and also knob creek they are so very common and so very good
You don't want to stir or shake anything carbonated, you'll crush the carbonation, instead just stir the bourbon and cranberry, strain into the glass and then top with the 2 oz of 7 up and give it a gentle stir...Trust me on this.
yeah, I don't know why the recipe had you stir the carbonation, perhaps the recipe just left out the party about "top off with..." which they typically do.
Yeah, there was a recipe that called for Wild Turkey bourbon, I just didn't have that on hand. I've not heard to many great things about it, but I know one of our audio show hosts loves it.
you stirred for 30 sec btw

I'll have to get that and do a side-by-side too, that would be fun!

You do your show when the kids are at school or what?
slugger1983 2 years ago
Nope, usually Friday and Saturday nights. Edit on Sundays and Monday and release on Tuesday thru Friday (and one more on Sunday).
Sometimes we do a few Saturday afternoon if we have a chance. That helps free up Saturday/Friday nights for World of Warcraft or whatever :)

you should use some wild turkey blended whiskey or wild turkey bourbon instead of normal bourbon

Nice to see a whisky cocktail. Whisky sour is the only thing I've used mine for, but now I'll try something new.
