  • Gorman is the man! Any mortal would have to be intimidated to play drums behind Page on this song. Gorman plays it with absolute authority. The drum mix is way out front, not like the Black Crowes drum mix. Power, authority and rock solid, awsome drumming. I didn't think he had it in him. Boy was I wrong!

  • Tight. Very Tight. Love the Crowes and the Zep. This is magical

  • jimmy page got old but jpj has the same face in this vid.

  • What a magickal show it was!!!! I saw them at the Creek, in Raleigh. They had to drag me to the car after the last encore. I still got my book, tho man!

  • Frickin' great! Skip plant and put in Robinson. Page Rules!

  • Goreman NAILS it!! And for my money, Robinson sings it every bit as good or better than Plant.

  • Jimmy looks kinda burnt........

  • perfection- simply jaw dropping.

  • LOVE!!!

  • This band does Led Zeppelin songs more justice than anybody

  • Went to the Oct. 19, 1999 at the Greek. Best show ever seen. Gorman killed it. My favorite drummer since. This was the best show of the nite. First row out of the pit, sitting next to Randy Johnson (theUnit). after the show Jimmy grabbed the mic and graciously thanked everyone and said "this is for you". He was stoked to have the young crowes back him up on the Zep power songs in a class way.

  • Gorman is soooo good. He just KILLS this. Whole band is on and Page is just eating it up. Helps that the guitars cover all Page's studio overdubs. Really fat sound that just wasn't there with Zep live. Chris Robinson is really credible too. Pretty sure Plant wouldn't have the range or stamina to hold up these days.

  • 7:39 - On ma dzide

  • 3 guitar attack + Chris' unmatched passion+ Steve Gorman kicking the shit out of his drumkit=greatest live album of all time....sho' nuff

  • Really awesome drumming by Steve Gorman. A big part of Zeppelin's greatness was Bonzo's drumming, so for Gorman to make it look so effortless is is just incredible. At 6:50 min....ROCK'N'ROOOOOOOLLLLL!!!

  • Jimmy is a god among fucktards

  • Hearing NOT ROBERT PLANT sing this song makes me cringe.

  • Steve Gorman is really good.

Hey Jimmy, ditch the sweat pants unless u plan on teaching gym class.

  • Steve Gorman is really good.

  • Wow Page still had it then !!!!!

  • PAGE AT HIS BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They just don't play GREAT Rock & Roll like this anymore..

  • awesome drummer!!!

  • dying dying dying....cough

  • Whoa Nelly!!! What a great cover....I don't care what Page was wearing, he was awesome....also, whoever that drummer is, he's one bad a**.

  • @tskrobola i agree, smoking version, that drummer played with balls. mind you the whole band sounded great imo

  • interesting:)

  • grew up to this tune! glad to see the crowes keeping it alive

  • Jimmy could of at least thrown on more than his jogging sweater...it looks as tho hes just come outta the gym...lol..and by the way this drummer does an incredible job..awesome in fact..bonzo would be appluading i think.

  • @TheMicturation haha, jimmy is an old man now, he was probably just cold!

  • good lord..how could you vote dislike on this??

  • It's amazing how close his voice is to Robert Plant's...

  • @JimmyPagesBIGESTFan... I agree, I grew up im Georgia, and was a big Zeppelin fan since I was like 13. The Black Crowes were a somewhat local band. I was thinking the other day of how much they remind me of Zeppelin, after all these years, and listening to other bands. I was thinking the same thing of how Chris reminds me of Plant. I love both bands! They are down home pure intelligent warm hard rockers.

  • To anybody that doesn't like this. I would like someone to throw that person off a high cliff. Then I want Superman to come along and scoop that person up and drop them from a higher distance. That's how much I would hate that person.

  • Danelectro <3

  • I love to watch the emotion on page's face when he plays......magical.

  • THIS IS FUCKING DELICIOUS! YOU DON’T AGREE ? SHOOT YOURSELF AND FUCK OFF!

  • Wow, all four Backstreet Boys watched this?

  • @jenton70 just kill yourself

  • @Matthew9444 Oh, Matthew, you need a spanking honey?

  • @jenton70 if they did, they would scared...

  • @jenton70 all four Backstreet Boys + 1 Justin Bieber

  • @cyberdudesn dammit you beat me to it right after i posted.... grrrr guess it wasnt very creative anyway

  • @jenton70 jbeibs too

  • Jimmy is the Best!....-every time....

  • Jimmy is COOL-every time....

  • KNOCKOUT,,,,,,,, experience this sure is !!!

  • 3:30 - 4:30 is the best ever. Nothing better. Wow.

  • Wow. Dude. For real. This is what it's all about.

  • Jimmy Page... nuff' said.

  • I can't express in words the feelings hearing to this, this is just too fucking extremely master piece! I just with I could ever watch a live concert from Led Zeppelin.

  • @fodamor - The closest yuo will get ,is to see Jason Bonhams Led Zep Experience. AWESOME SHOW !

  • @BRUTUSPLAC great to know my friend, gonna look for it! I just love Led Zeppelin too damn much, and in my opinion Black Crowes does a really really good work, pity that they went for an hiatus.

  • CAN ONLY SAY WOW!!!! GREAT JOB BY THE DRUMMER!!!!!

  • Can anybody link to a better version done by Led Zeppelin? The Crowes are the greatest.

  • You said it. I never thought there could be another drummer to play this like Bonham, but this drummer does not miss a beat and is fantastic. Plays about just as hard as Bonham also. Great stuff.

  • why does this not have millions of views??? fantastic!!!!

  • jimmy looks a bit out of place, maybe its just his clothes.

  • @larstheguitarguy you think its just his clothes? its his clothes, his hair that is cut, his weight that he gained, the shirt that he is not wearing open. I MISSSS THE OLD TIMES. jimmy page is hawwwwwwwt

  • é do cacete

  • Is this the best live recording of any song song in the history of man kind?

  • Yep. The drummer and the bass player are locked in. I've been playing the CD in the car, and it sounds fantastic.

  • even fat Jimmy is the best! Chris Robinson should do the reunion tour based on this,

  • @Jayhawkga haha! fat jimmy! that cracks my shit up, yo.

he's sweatin right through that slimming black sweatsuit, isnt he?

  • even fat Jimmy is the best! Chris Robinson should do the reuoion tour!!

  • Page and the crowes make a great combination. Dunno why I never heard that they did this. Really great job doing one of my favorite all time Zep songs. It seems like a natural fit.

  • @Torchnpitchfork Bro I was at this show in NYC I couldn`t get the smile off my face for a month I`ve been to well over 200 concerts this made the top 5

  • oh the guys did them lessons before The Lord got on stage.

  • just do a zep tour with this singer what the hell is the problem ..let plant make shitty music . he cant sing zep songs anymore ..thats what plants problem is!!!

  • @zappahart His music now-a-days isn't necessarily bad, it's just different. Folk music is a little different than zeppelin. Also he still sings zeppelin songs in concert well... Finally, is it really zeppelin without robert plant on vocals. It's like going to see the Jimi Hendrix Experience with like John Mayer on guitar.

  • @lynyrdskynyrd329 you r right about the different thing. i really like folk music but it has to be (old folk music) like the early 60,s i actually bought the last cd with allison . it was ok but since i posted i heard 1 song from boj ...it was pretty good but like most zep fans i yearn for a reunion tour not to go to it (too expencive) but i would buy the cd and dvd!!!

  • Yeah, the drummer is great..then listen to Stanton Moore..

  • Kick ASS!!!!!!

  • This is a really good version. Well, well, well. Jesus Make Up My Dying Bed. Well, well, well. Looks like someone forgot to credit the composer again. They seem to like Blind Willie Johnson's work a lot. I just wish they had credited him. Well, well, well...

  • @MyMoppet52y I agree man. I cant find anything with them commenting on that crap. I would love to hear what Jimmy or Robert have to say about that. Have you ever read or seen an interview ab it?

  • @MyMoppet52 well arent you the morally upstanding one

  • @RisingSon011 I was just putting the "well, well, well's" in my comment like Page did in his song. IN THE EXACT SAME PLACES Blind Willie Johnson said, "well, well, well". I mean Zep could have at least put some word in besides "well" & not in the EXACT same place. Then had the nerve to list "Page and Plant" as the writers! I loved Zep & still do. I've lost lots of respect for them though. Well, well, well. Give Blind Willie Johnson's version a listen! Like theirs. Only 79 years earlier!

  • @MyMoppet52 well arent you the morally upstanding one . and btw tell me , who 'composed this antebellum slave spiritual ? cretin

  • What a cracking version. Jimmy is grinning and obviously enjoying himself, The Crowes are ace as usual, but extra special points to the drummer!. By heck he is playing that kit like a man possessed. Great to see a bunch of top musicians on form and having fun.

  • @VintageSG You must bring ur best when you cover the greateast drummer who ever lived!!!!

  • one of LZ's best

  • if my wings should fail me lord then meet me with another pair!

  • Dude, I was THERE!

  • Tight ! Very - all are musicians ! Go Page + Crowes = Well well well.. take my body home .. so i can die easy!

  • 4 people must be deaf.

  • @needlessbanter ... they are into Zamfir or something

  • @needlessbanter - Those 4 people probably can't stand that it's not Robert Plant on lead vocals. They are probably incapable of interpreting this cover on its own merit. The Black Crowes (musically) helped Page absolutely NAIL this song. But, because it's not Plant up there... they can't get over it.... or they are just blatent idiots.

  • who could have possibly not liked this?!?!? WTF?!?!? This is F'n killer!

  • Page proves that u can still rock no matter how old u r! And the Crowes r awesome! A 50 plus grandma!lol

  • How to spank a "danny"

  • This is GOOD stuff! Love it!!!

  • bonzo would be proud

    rest in peace

  • open G right?

  • they forgot to say "cough" at the end (-;

  • @actiondown That's gonna be the one isn't it

  • @valsoldier03 thats one of the coolest things about the entire song lol

  • @actiondown Because nobody coughed lol

  • Ha Ha. I remember that on the vinyl, and the numbnuts took it off my CD version. X0(

  • black crows f-in nailed it and Page the rock god guitarist!

  • the other guitar drowns out jimmy...

  • @zeppelin926 All i can hear is Page and his Danno

  • A-fucking-mazing.

  • This is some kick ass Rock N Roll people....

  • Who dislike this?!! F**king tards!!!

  • Brilliance, but the second guitar is unnecessary.

  • God dang that drummer is just perfect!!! One of my Zep faves and they are nailing it here. Helps to have Page, though, I guess lol.

  • @jenton70 yes, Steve Gorman is a drum God

  • ahhhh..i love the sound of a slide

  • lol, forever this song always seems like a hell of a lot of work for Page

  • 4 people couldnt handle the guitar playing and clicked the dislike button by accident.

  • Anybody know whats the tuning?

  • @antsdick E A E A C# E or D G D G B D with capo at second fret

  • Here, we are again, with nice music....! From these guys..! From my, Jesus...oh..!

  • I would venture to say that the drummers ability to channel Bonzo's spirit into his drumsticks is why Page followed them around. Just jaw dropping awesomeness. Sent shivers down my spine to hear someone do those beats that well..

  • great vid man!!! applauses also to the drummer. He was on point.

  • esto es lo mas cercano a led zepp en vivo, claro con el plus de las otras 2 guitarras, magnifica version, gracias page.

  • Steve Gorman. One of the "Keepers of the Fat, Nasty Groove"!!!!!

  • I wasnt sure at first.... But this was great!

  • This is as good as you can get. His riffs are like full scale attack to your ears. Pure energy.

  • Jimmy is on fire! Amazing performance, exceptionally better than a lot of Page & Plant shows. Jimmy really just really put everything together in this show and gave it his all.

  • @RockerForLife74 really? this man can not keep the tune,, i do not think this singer is good for this song

  • @Yosimar I think he did just fine. The Black Crowes singer is a great singer afterall. He sung it right and fluently. I loved it!

  • I was there, it was amazing!

  • I was there, it was amazing!

  • ..pretty damn good backup by the Crowes. Pretty cool seeing the Danelectro too.

  • god there will never be anyone that can fit jimmys guitar sound like john bonham...rest his soul. jpj or robert plant they all fit into one

  • Jimmy Page es la caña.Alucinado me quedo cada vez que lo escucho.Chris Robinson no lo hace tan bien, aqui se echa de menos a Robert Plant.El video es tremendo

  • the drummer is spot on

  • @petfireball Not too many people truly realize how incredible a drummer John Bonham really was. This guy does a very passable job for sure. Listen to Bonham's playing on Carouselambra, it is juicy ripe and delicious.

  • @petfireball he is from my hometown. his mom teaches with my wife!

  • @petfireball i think he missed going around the toms but other than that it was a take.

  • @petfireball

    Steve Gorman's a freakin' beast !

Good call by the way .

  • you know you're a sweet band when jimmy page will play with you

  • @boogiejuiced Amen to that. You dont see him calling up the Jonas Brothers or Nickelback to rip a set of Zep tunes out and in the process create one of the best live CD's ever put to tape.

  • @cgraber Could Nickelback even play this song?

  • @dignan3 LOL. Good point. I dont think those ass clowns are fit to hold Jimmy's Les Paul case, let alone rip out a blistering set with him on the same stage.

  • Epic epic epic recording.

  • some of you think jimmy is singing lol chris robinson is singing and jimmy paige is playing the guitar

  • jimmy page seems to do a lot better than robert plant solo.

  • Jimmy Page is literally a black folk singer............for real. I love this video!!!!!

  • IMHO gotta be the best version of this song anywhere, even better than on Physical Graffiti. And this album deserves to be much-better known....

  • Qué carmela Jimmy!!!!!

  • Younger bands backing up older geezers is nothing new (Yardbirds and Howlin' Wolf, et al). Now, I am seeing my heros being supported by a newer breed. What a damn good performnce this is. If I close my eyes, I am back in Dallas, 1975.

  • Oh my godness... So good!!!!

  • I was trying to play this today, the video helps when figuring it out.

Unfortunately I am only one guitar player, need at least two to make this sound good.

The best song ever recorded in my opinion

  • Is he playing a pEavey ??

  • @chromemutt It's a Danelectro, like he used on Kashmir. There's a reissue of it on Guitar Center's website.

  • @shooterthirteen per l'esattezza danelectro dc 59 :)

  • Right before JP became the current silver fox that we know and love today

  • nobody can compare to jimmy page

  • beyond words

  • Black Crowes + Jimmy Page = Awesome.

  • This singer is good but this song performed by Plant is BEYOND good.

  • WTF??? Where is Plant???!!!! Plant !!! Plant!!!! Don't you hear me calling you ??? Hear me calling hear me calling you??? I can die easy cause of this singer. I never did no wrong. Oh my Robert... Oh my Robert... Hear me Roobert!!! Oh, don't you make it my dyin', dyin', dyin'...

  • @Brombeere108 I'm not saying they didn't do a good job.

  • FREAKIN' SICK! Don't know that any other band could have pulled this off with JP and i think he knew that going into this gig or else he wouldn't have done it! Sounds as fresh and soulful as it did back in the day!

  • Superb performance by a great band and a guitar God Jimmy Page.

  • DOES ANYONE AGREE THE SINGER IS SO OFF AND ALSO SOUNDS LIKE bad AHAHAHAH I FEEL LIKE IM THE ONLY ONE

  • @LedZeppelinHD Your not alone my friend, your not alone

  • @Brombeere108 yeah except his god is satan

  • @Brombeere108 Why are you thanking the Black Crowes? This song has been out for more than thirty years bro

  • Marriott was the man. I remember hearing a story from my Uncle, in which he saw Marriott perform and his mic went out..well good ole Steve never stopped singing and he could still hear him over everything.

Boy that man could belt it out...what a damned voice.

  • no i ment the volume on his guitar is turned down too much

  • great stuff
