I dont get why people shit on Necromancers in this game for the pets not being able to tank. Funcom wnated to make it realistic. WHo is more dnagerous?Minion or SUmmoner?Kill the minion and have another thrown at you or stop the Summoner from reanimating more? Of course they attack the Necromancer.lol

I have a question, anyone can answer me please

when I started playing AoC when it first come out. ive been playing for about 2-3months. leveled a necromancer to 76... and omg it was the worse char ever, the priest of mitra was super mega overpowerd and the necro was shit shit shit and shit. ive seen videos of necro vs PoM and the PoM was able to one shot the necro and was able to stay alive forever when the necro was attacking him. so the necro still suck in pvp ? do it still take 40sec to buff?

Here you can see that the nerco is one of the best chars in AoC. (I'm sorry that my English isn't the best. I'm from Germany)

I play conquerer, ranger and barbarian. I have no chance with conq and barb. And I often died with my ranger, too. So I hate necros with pets. :D They're to powerful, I think.

But the game has to be funny and what is a MMORPG without powerful casters?! :)

I rolled a necromancer when AoC first came out and hated it. Pets not being able to tank or even hold aggro really killed the fun for me - having rolled pet/summon classes in mmo's for years. Have they changed pets so they can aggro now, or added a new one that can, anything like that? Answers appreciated.

Of-course the mobs are going to attack you. Your the threat, not your minions. Would you attack a summoner's minions or would you attack the summoner? The answer should be obvious.

Fine, but it just kills the solo experience / typical expectations. Purely opinion, so I won't say 'most' but I imagine many people roll pet classes with the intention of them wanking.

I like this one where you can command your zombies to attack your foe. In Diablo series, you can't. It only attacks when you move yourself closer to your foe. This necro summons kind of creepy. Great work.

yep. I've tried quite a few mmo's as well. AoC is a close 2nd to daoc where i was for 5+yrs. WoW isa kids game, I'd glide and sell accounts on it mostly. WaRhammer isa broken joke. had 2 40's so yes i know. This game is not a kids game like wow. Doesn't look it nor play like it. Amazing game i've said b4 this is as close to a succesor for daoc as will come. I'm so hooked.

it doesn't matter if they're on different systems. AoC on 360 will be getting info from the main AoC server, as will the PC players, so you never know. Anything could happen. Just don't be so negative. >_>

I have played alot of diffrent mmo's 8 total.

My latest MMO was WOW i played it for 2 years with my wife, it was a really good MMO.

But i did not like everything, like the pvp it was a bit boring.

I have played Shadowbane and if you compare it with WOW pvp, wow pvp is worthless, anyway the pve was awesome !

Well after around 2 years AOC came me and my wife just had to try it !

And i can only say OMG !

Its AWESOME !

One of the best mmo's ive played :)

Strongly recommend it to everyone!

BUT theres the Rage-spell... grants a good chance of letting them get the aggro for at least 20secs... spared my life SEVERAL times! ;)

As badass as necros are, right now they're not as powerful as it seems from this video. All of the enemies he faced here were were blue. Necros are really underpowred. Hopefully the rumors I keep hearing about them getting buffed within the next few patches are true.

At level 80 you get a new pet called Blood Arcanist. That one isn't in this movie as I was only 77 when making it.

Well, it's on debate on the necro forum if that is a legal tactic. But it's in the game and should be fair game. The truth is that I've never had to try that tactic as I'm on a PvE server etc :-)
