  • Why didnt you guys mention azazel or Sebastian shaw? Best characters in the movie

  • Usually your reviews are good, but I loved this movie.

  • lol 8:30

  • This movie was amazing in every way.

  • This Movie was so fucking amaising! but it's totaly messed up with the other films, there are alots of inconsistences that doesn't match with the other 4 movies.

Example: Emma Frost is adult in this and in Wolverine Origins she is a young girl.

  • Lol 11:44 Magneto kid!!!!!

  • They may not be Academy Award winning, but Mystique was an Academy Award nominee

  • didn't get where xavier got shot young and got paralyzed; and if you saw the third xmen movie you'd realize that in one scene xavier is walking and he is like 40 years old

  • @baazellbub hence the continuity errors they mentioned. you would also notice how in that scene Eric and Charles appear to still be friends, but at the end of first class they go their separate ways.

  • . . . . . . .annndd i still love this movie

  • actually they used a different kid at the start of the movie, in the first X men the kid did a much better job than the latest one.

  • Finally watched it, great movie

  • I like your friend. He's cool.

  • i only saw storm. but i don't get how you found cyclops.

  • I assumed that it took the magneto origin from the movies and reset all other continuity. There were things that contradicted every other x-men movie.

  • Any word of WOLVERINE ORIGINS 2?

  • haha MAGNETO KID!! ( Raises arms reaching for the screen )

  • The continuity issues are simple- it only follows x-men and x2. think about it...bryan singer directed those two, left the franchise, then returned to produce this. while he was gone two other directors fucked up his series, so he pretty much retconed everything from those 2

  • @ktm8501 but it still failed cause in x men 2000 charles tells wolverine magneto helped him built cerebro, but in first class beast made cerebro, plus they never mention it was shaws idea not magnetos idea to have the helmet..and also on X2 on the scene where mystique is seducing the cop..if you look on the tv hank mccoy (beast) is still in human form..those are pretty big continuity fails

  • stryker in this was the x2 strykers dad if that makes sense

  • Can you get me some ice man?

    FUCKING AWESOME

  • Ya know prof X couldnt walk at the end and he is still young. At the beginning of xmen 3 the last stand, the flashback shows he is still walking, and he is older and bold, they didnt think that through lol

  • angel or firefly watever the fuck her name was was a dumb character

  • A few things that kind of upset me were how in X-Men 2... on a news report, they introduced Senator... Gah what's his face... Beast, what ever... they introduced him but he was still in his human form!... in Wolverine, Xavier was up and walking still... In X-Men 2, Magneto talks about how he helped Xavier build Cerebro, even though in this one he didn't... And I honestly still don't think I laughed harder at a movie since Scott Pilgrim at the "Go F*** Yourself~!"...

  • X-men first class for me was okai... for me the pacing was too fast and it lacked character development.

  • I thought this movie was brilliant... It had brilliant acting, a brilliant script, brilliant direction, brilliant special effects, brilliantly shot action sequences and a brilliant score that puts the cherry on top of this brilliant movie! xD

  • the whole movie was funny. Especially Magneto, i laughed the whole time when he did his hand thing. and with that cape.

  • hank was also in about a boy! surely this along with skins makes the actor more well known?

  • They actually reshot shot for shot all the footage with eric lensher in the beginning of xmen

  • I hated the part where Raven got the others to pick nicknames and of the top of there heads they came up with their xmen names and i thought that was forced. Any thoughts on an xmen first class sequal? With the ending it had, i would like one.

  • well i freakin loved it.

  • hugh jackman was amazing in "The Fountain"

  • You guys didn't even mention Kevin Bacon! I thought he was awesome in this. Michael Fassbender seems like he's really gonna take off after this, because I thought he was great too. He was actually my favorite part of Inglourious Basterds even though it was a relatively small role.

  • Well, I noticed that at the end of First Class professor Xavier loses the use of his legs. But in Worlverine, which is obviously afterwards, Professor Xavier is bald and walking. (And I kno youre gonna say that he was doing it with his mind, but bare with me) In Xmen3: The Last stand, not only is Professor X walking (and by walking I mean coming out of the car, walking into the house) he's friends with Magneto and speaks of the school as if they founded it together. It don't sit right with me.

  • @kamilleBlack they did found it together... didn't you see when they were training the others?

  • best xmen so far, I think they should remake all the xmen like this but thats just highly unlikely lol

  • i think the second bald joke was more noticeable. i didn't even hear the first one haha

  • @MetalliDethSlayThrax The first one was (SPOILERS!!!!) When he went into Cerebro the first time Beast says to Charles "Are you sure we can't cut your hair" Charles replies with "Don't touch my hair."

  • @Lycanvenom oh! well i'm sure i would've heard it, i was somewhat distracted with the girl i was with haha

  • I SAW JEAN IN THE CYREBRO ( I AM THE BEAST SPELLER :D) SCENE

  • For all the people mentioning striker, because professor x told him he was thinking about his son William

  • I'll try to explain this the best I can...I see you are still looking at the film as a complete prequel to the first three X-Men films. It's not. This is a prequel/reboot type of situation, but it serves as a prequel to only X-Men 1 and and only for two characters: Xavier and Magneto, since they are the main focus in First Class. Vaughn already mentioned this in one interview so if it's a success, they will look at it as a reboot and move forward with new trilogy.

  • i liked it

  • i loved james mcavoy!!!!

  • I just saw this movie it was so good. The main reason I wanted to see it because I wanted to see how Jennifer Lawrence acted because she's playing my favorite character of all time in The Hunger Games movie

  • Erik. Xavier. mutant strippers. Best movie eva.

  • KEVEN BACON?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! MAYBE IDK?!?!?!!!!

  • I really enjoyed the movie. I was always in tears whenever they brought up nuclear war and yelled at the screen. There was no one in the audience except me, I really enjoyed that, probably why I really got into the movie more than normal.

  • ok the movie was great and yes a few things some people didn't like but it may be a new view for the characters...question i don't know if you like comic book.but i would like to know what you think about the new DC Comics Reboot that is coming soon.for people that read comics is a big think would like to know what you think.thanks.great channel.

  • throughout this entire video, i hadnt realised i hadnt seen the first one

  • I wasn't hyped to see this movie but it turned out to be very good. I didn't find it as good as X2 but still a very good movie. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are the reason the movie was so good IMO. Their acting and chemistry together was awesome.

  • completely disagree with the acting, i thought xavier was by far the best.

  • @IdentityHero i'm not racist, x men is

  • Paul in this X-Men Alex is Scott's father and he is a teenager so it would make sense to the other X-Men films

I haven't gotten a chance to see this film but I like their approach with the characters the casting looks good

  • When Beast was like "You have the most incredible genes I've ever seen!" and Mystique sat on his lap I was like "You have the most incredible boner I've ever sat on/"

  • I really couldn't watch the movie, they made too many mistakes. I think being a fan has its cons to it, but overal I really did like the movie, it was very funny but I really expected more. I very much liked the "what'shisface", Beast/Mystique relationship, it was very sweet. And of course, Matthew Vaughn defintitely met my expectations, I don't know what it is but he's just an amzing director, his movies are great. I agree, Kick-Ass was the best of last year. & the Wolverine cameo was golden :)

  • I wanted to slap the shit out of them when they named each other (too easy) and with all the foreshadowing.

  • You didn't watch X-Men at midnight? Losers! This was the best X-Men movie so far.

  • LOL UR A HUGE JACKASS

  • I loved first class but i think mystiqe (the character) can be described in two words Bitch and Whore she was going out with beast ??? but then wanted magneto to do her so i got confused but professer x was great its sad the he lost his legs :(

  • @moreSMOREplease she left beast because he suggested she was only beautiful in human form, whereas erik said she was more beautiful when she was her true self ie all blue n stuff :D

  • did anyone else notice that when shaw was talking to them about how they'll become "enslaved" it cut right to darwin and zoomed in on him for a good 5 seconds. best part of the whole movie

  • @kristenlxl The reason it cut to Darwin was because Shaw was trying to tug on his strings to get him to join his side. The movie itself is not trying to be racist, that was just how low Shaw was willing to go to get them to join his side. Stop shouting racist at everything when it is clearly not.

  • I told your mum to go see it... just last night... xD jk

I actually really liked First Class. I really enjoyed the special effects, the introduction of more unknown characters, the alteration from the earlier films, cartoons, and the comic books, and just generally the direction. But it was definitely the characters and acting that stole the show.

I did find the script to have a few holes in it, but it was more of an overall vibe thing that irked me; there was nothing in particular.

  • Well, Iron Man and all the pre-Avengers movies are by Marvel Studios, whereas X-Men: First Class, as well as all the other X-Men movies, were made by Marvel. This is probably why First Class felt more along the lines of the original Marvel, while Marvel Studios is going more for the Ultimate Marvel.

  • I loved it, i saw it once with some of my friends. Then I saw it again with a buddy who hadnt seen it yet. However each one was matinee.

  • why are they so close??

  • Did anyone notice Gambit's name in X2?

  • Really upset about the Summers family continuity, other than that, loved it.

  • Psylocke was a character cameo via cerebro

  • it's a new trilogy

  • in the other movies they said magneto helped xavier to build cerebro, but in this movie beast bult it, and in the first x-men movie xavier was like "he must have found out a way to block my powers to acces hes mind" , like magneto just made the helmet he is wearing, but in this film it wasnt even magneto that made the helmet..

and also, in the begining og x-men 1 when magneto was a child, he got taken away from his mom and DAD, i didnt see his father in this film.

  • @LPKMedia

and one last thing ! (was out of letters in the first comment..)

when we look back in time in the 3 first movies charles and magneto were friends when they where "old", and charles was able to walk ! but in first class charles and magneto became enemies when they still where young, and charles lost his abillity to walk..

so alot of things where fucked up ;s !

  • @LPKMedia apperently its a new trilogy

  • @ksone714 WHAT!!!!! OMG THAT'S AWESOME!!! :L

  • @ksone714 i

    i really hope so !

  • @LPKMedia me two

  • Was anyone disapointed with not seeing Magneto help Charles Xavier build Cerebro?

  • Yeah, the whole "Alex Summers" thing got to me. I excused a lot of other things but that one bugged me. I was at the drive-in with my Husband and he's like, "Why does that name sound familiar?" and I'm like, "Because it's supposed to be Cyclops's younger brother...that makes no sense..."

  • The most RANDOM thing that confused me, NOT THE STORY, THE CHARACTERS, but "Sebastian Shaw". The whole movie had me in this brain-fart of "OH they mean the actor".... I don't know, I guess I was tired.

  • does the original X-Men take place in 2000, when it was made? i don't know why, but i always thought it was supposed to be in the past...

  • @xXrokrgrlXx It indeed does take place in 2000. The 1944 Scene was just a flash back considering that's a brief origin of Magneto then when it gets to modern day he looks like he's in his 60's

  • skins!! <3

  • I thought it was brilliant! Really, I came with huge expectations and was not disappointed at all. The part with Wolverine was awesome! I laughed for five minutes after it... And I liked the bald jokes, everyone else laughed too... Havoc and Banshee were amazing. I can't wait to see it again!

  • You guys know this is a reboot of the entire series right?

  • @TruArtStudios i guess they don't

  • THE SCENERY!! It was so beautiful! And idk but the training scenes with Xavier going to each individual student reminded me of Matthew Vaughn's directing. But one note on the acting, I thought the scene when kid Magneto saw his mom get shot then started screaming was really goofy. I mean, he's a kid actor and all, so I don't expect much, but all he did was scream in the same key and stand with his arms out. You'd think he'd do a bit more of something...at least I did :O

  • @Ichimaru93 wow really :(

  • Watch the footage again it is not the same form number one close but not the same

  • the little girl mystique made me laugh freaking hard..i didnt take it seriously so i really enjoyed it..nothing could be dumber then the toad dance from the first x men movie..mathew vaughn should really do a kick ass 2..he says he doesnt want to cause the first one means alot to him..i wanna see hit girl grown up kicking ass

  • What about that huge continuity mistake at the end. He's in a wheelchair when the other movies have shown clips of him walking around later. That was their worst mistake I think

  • THOR REVIEW?!?!?!

  • @SocialDeth He has one up lol.

  • i was literally DYING when he said " FUCK OFF! " its was funny bec they JUST CAME IN AND SAID HI TO HIM, AND THE NEXT SECOND THEY RUSHING OUT.

  • Are they gonna make another prequel? Cuz Angel, Havoc, and Banshee aren't in the other films :/ I didn't want Darwin to die :(

  • actually feel sick laughing at the bit when you were cracking all those "wink wink" jokes

  • THE MOVIE WAS GOOD BUT FEELS LIKE THEY MESED UP ALOT. CUZCHARLES WAS WALKING WEN ..(shit the caps was on lol ) he saw scott an he was bald an then scott brother alex summers was the youngest an how is charles still younge if scott summers was older the his younger brother an striker is older but wasnt that old wen the wolverin movie came in 2009....idk but it was confusing to me but ceck out my reactions to the scene wen they saw wolverine an hear the audience reactions :D

  • i personally really liked this movie.it wasnt amazing but it was pretty good som of the graphics where kind of iffy like in the beginning but most of it was good and when i saw tony from skins i pretty much flipped out i was so excited nd i loved magneto and james mcavoy!also w/ the little puns i think it was 1 bald joke too many.but it wasnt too over done. and not having any post credit scene was upsetting :/ nd last thing i LOVED that hugh jackman was in it kinda made the movie alot better.

  • god, you guys make everying akward as fuck.

  • Hugh Jackman......Huge Jackass

    XD awesome joke dude

  • Please! speak sloweer

  • yay paul!

  • I hated the "maybe in a few years" mystique meta joke :|

  • i loved the shit outta this movie hahaha the incontinueity wasnt THAT big of a deal to me

  • the opening scene with magneto as a kid is recycled its flimed during this movie.

  • Haha it's funny how you liked the part where they fly... I actually disliked that part. That was the only part of the movie i didn't like, it looked so cheesy. It's all good though.

  • i also realised the logan didnt age either...at all

    &

(first time phoenix and professor X &magneto meets: scene cutted)

Prof X: oh, u look nice, i hope u dont throw yourself in the middle of a snow storm so the middle-broke ship can fly, just u can return in a 3rd..........adventure...... as an evil force

  • for the continuity thing the people behind it said they discarded trying to keep in continuity with the 3rd Xmen or Wolverine (i assume cause they were the worst i dunno) therefore a lot of continuity things from those movies are meant to be ignored anyway but if you didn't know then i get the frustration with continuity

personally didn't bother me and i thought this was the best of the x men films having a more i dunno slick feel and i also love james mcavoy so that helped

    also good review:)

  • The opening scene wasn't recycled footage. They reshot the scene; it's almost exactly the same, but it's not recycled. I think the original scene was a little more well done, but again they are almost exactly the same (which is probably why you didn't notice).

  • The last bald joke was funny. Everyone in my theater laughed. I think you're just too picky.

  • @SeekingOutTomorrow Well of course everyone laughed at it, but it was so cheesy. There had already been a bald joke earlier in the movie!

  • @PrettyMuchIt the first bald reference wasn't really a joke, it was too subtle to be a joke, Id say it was more of a wink wink moment

  • @Ihavenolife63 If everyone laughed at it, it wasn't very subtle. It was a joke.

  • @PrettyMuchIt The bald joke earlier actually had relevance and wasn't just thrown in for stupidity's sake. I thought it probably had the best plot of all of them.

  • @SeekingOutTomorrow Ahaha... everyone did at mine too! I laughed so hard

  • Nic Holt! -3 is Beast!

  • I saw the review just because I'm a huge X-Men nerd. I was disappointed in the timing and wrong things they had in there. I kept telling my dad over and over after. I was extremely disappointed about the fact they put Hugh Jackman in there? He would have been in Canada by then. And other things as well as that. But other than that it was pretty good.

  • First off, it's a reboot. It's not a prequel of all the movies. If it were a reboot, it would be ignoring Origins and Last Stand (which I don't have a problem with). X-Men: First Class is amazing, but it's not as good as X2.

  • The ending line was cheesy as fuck. It was pretty good though.

  • they're showing thor, captain america, etc to introduce the characters for the avengers movie

  • Yeah.. he's gonna go bald and i'm gonna like it, lol

  • In response to what you guys were saying Eric, they did indeed ignore most continuity. However, Origins, while it was a good movie, was a MAJOR fuckup in terms of Marvel canon. Basically it's considered flat out non-canon at this point. It's important to know going into this movie that the writer stated he completely ignored X3 and Origins when writing this movie.

  • just saw it...it was unbelievable GOOD , cant say anything bad about this first class ... wow what a movie !!!!

  • like other movies... they killed the black guy

  • this moviee was really really good :)

  • Oh! And their going back to the classic stuff because their making an Avengers movie

  • Is it just me or does Kevin Bacon NEVER AGE!?!?!?! I mean he looks exactly the same as he did a long time ago!

  • I really enjoyed it! I thought the writing & acting was excellent. I had just recently seen James Mcavoy in Shameless so it was a nice surprise to see him taking on the role of young Prof. X. I thought all the new actors were a lot of fun.The Self-aware humor & continuity wasn't that terrible for me. Kevin Bacon was another nice surprise. Overall, I say this film is up there with the first two films in the series. Smart, funny, & action packed.

  • there was a hint to william stryker in the movie if you would call that a cameo

  • Go fuck yourself. *wink. I loved the wolverine cameo and I almost wish that they would reboot the series but I can't see anyone else as wolverine. :/

  • I was sort of disappointed because I waited till the end of the credits assuming there would be some after-credits/post-credits scene..but no.

  • @caarlyMEOW SAME! We were waiting in there and the guys came in to clean and they asked if we were waiting for a post-credits scene and told us there was none... WHAT KINDA MARVEL MOVIE HAS NO POST-CREDITS SCENE?!

  • @PrettyMuchIt I don't think Thor did either, unless I missed it. Besides, I think post-credits are only for movies that are planned to have sequels and I don't believe you can make a sequel to a Prologue :P

  • @rooster5man Thor had a post-credits scene! Even Origins: Wolverine did!

  • @PrettyMuchIt I think Origins is getting a sequel though. But if Thor got a scene, then I don't know what to say, haha. That's just wrong.

  • @PrettyMuchIt the footage in the beginning isn't the same footage from the older x-men movie....they actually re shot it part from part...so.technicly they didn't use the exact same film i guess from the previous one...

  • @PrettyMuchIt me two people in the theather said "that's bullshit"

  • @PrettyMuchIt we did the same thing.

  • aww you didnt talk about jennifer lawrence... i wanted to hear what you thought of her

  • (This comment doesn't have any relevance to the review)

ERIC! What happened to Nyctophobia man? Are you losing faith in the project? Because you haven't made a single update since the initial reboot of the Kickstarter. There are 5 DAYS LEFT and you are so behind! It's ok if you have to spam us with reminders, because I think you've learned from ErickWithNoK, you can't just notify everyone with a little update or two! live shows would help a lot too!

  • @THEJ3RM101 Quite the opposite; I got the building owners to go with my deal which I can afford. I might try Kickstarter once more in July or August so that I don't go completely broke on this, but I can currently afford it myself and Kickstarter has become such a pain with having to explain it to so many people, so I took a break from it.

  • @PrettyMuchIt Oh that's awesome then congrats Eric :)

  • Comment removed

  • The footage in the beginning isn't the EXACT same. The actors are different, but they did a very good play by play :D

  • Your friend is super hot.

  • You're stupid for reading that.

  • SPOILER ALERT!

That's just it. It's just a spoiler alert. Nothing else.

  • Can't believe you didn't tear apart the CGI! I thought it looked like crap!!!

  • Got to say, I was shaking my head the whole review. I LOVED IT! And you guys were just not excited. (I'm a super fan of X-men though and I really couldn't give a $%^# about technical details. It was exactly what I wanted from an X-men movie(sadly, the last 4 movies never did that). I'm flamboyant from this movie.

  • That was NOT recycled footage at the beginning of the movie, they re-shot the opening of X-Men 1 and then continued on it a little, but it is all new footage.

  • I also wasnt thrilled to see it. I wasnt even going to, but then i ended up going and really liked it

  • No Pirates on stranger tides review??

  • I'm a HUGE xmen fan. sure some things weren't exactly right with the foundation of truth for xmen but there is a reason that didn't bother me. its a common practice in comics to take the same base story and switch it up. that way your not telling the same story over again with a different artist. These movies where so much better then the other trash in the series. the casting was brilliant. I really hope they throw out the other four movies and go from here,

  • SPOILER. I really didn't like that they killed off Darwin. I mean... He can adapt to survive anything right? I don't think he should have died. I understand why they did it, but still.

  • i thought the cyclops cameo was funny cuz havock was like 20yrs lookin and cyclops in the cameo was like 12yrs old. lol so that was kind of like annoying.

  • Hey guys remember that their mutants they never get old not a fanboy

  • @TheChupaletas

they never get old yet professor x gets older? hmmm ok "fanboy"

  • I missed the Cyclops cameo but I saw Storm. Too bad I can't re-watch it until it comes out on blu-ray.

  • Eric, did you see the new Super 8 clip played at the MTV Movie Awards?

  • im a huge X-Men fan and like every movie even though some might not be that good. but this one was my favorite so far. they said this the start of a new trilogy. now i dont know if thats going to be a good thing but we'll see how it goes. also did notice that the suits they wore? they looked more like they did in the original comics then the other movies

  • Heyyy i was wondering..when does Rebecca Romijn make her cameo? I was excited about it but i like never saw her o.o

  • 10:14 lmao
