I very much miss my place in Taos NM, the native culture is so strong there. Being from west texas , except for the mountains the land is much the same. But the lifestyle is vastly different. I dont know if you can truly know life until you have lived with the ppl...Its very humbling, trust me. I live almost 700 miles from there now, and i still love hitting the road and going back..!!!!!

My races are: Portugese, Puerto Rican, Irish, Chinese, German, Blackfoot, Hawaiian Native.I know my Ancestors History except for the German, and Blackfoot.. My mom said we had blackfoot blood from my German great-great-grand father. Before she passed away 2yrs ago she told me to try find my family. I am so sorry to be white and to know that maybe people who where my ancestors helped to destroy the adorable Indian culture. My bookshelf is full of literature like Bury my heart at wounded knee and it is so hard to read stuff like this. I know there is nothing I could do to make those things better, but I wish I could.

I really think that Native American culture, history, and maybe even the language is overlooked, USA wouldn't be where they're at now without them. A lot of the newcomers that came to the New World, and a lot of the colonies got stronger because the natives helped us.

I am so sorry to be white and to know that maybe people who where my ancestors helped to destroy the adorable Indian culture. My bookshelf is full of literature like Bury my heart at wounded knee and it is so hard to read stuff like this. I know there is nothing I could do to make those things better, but I wish I could.
The Indian culture was cruel, yes, but on the other hand full of love and peace and I admire everyone of them for wanting peace until the very end.

I really think that Native American culture, history, and maybe even the language is overlooked, USA wouldn't be where they're at now without them. A lot of the newcomers that came to the New World, and a lot of the colonies got stronger because the natives helped us.

Proud to Be Native! even though people say im not because my Native ancestors are from Mexico, Native American means that you have Native ancestors from the American continents. I know this song. I heard it a long time ago when i was at least 5 i think the song is called ''Buffalo Moon'' I have the CD called ''Nazca'' and it has all sorts of indian songs. It is one of my favorite songs that relates to indian tribes and nature.
