If I wasn't such a die hard Camaro man that is the only Mustang I would have, but I am so it will never happen. I'm glad they finally gave the Cobra name the muscle it deserved in 03 and 04, a name like that should have such power unlike the 02. Yes, I can always tell when there's a mustang around just by the exhaust. Sometimes I can tell what kind of mustang it is... 5.0, GT, Cobra, Roush, Saleen, but the Shelby is a little tricky. Not many where I live. I never said any of this if asked. :)

There are ways to fool emissions, but if you have a cat-less exhaust you will fail any emissions test. Best bet would be to either get high flow cats or just swap out your exhaust for the test.  In CT we only have to go through emissions every 2 years. brand New cars are exempt for 5 years.

I know on the older 5.0s in washington anyways they do a "sniff" test on the exhaust (so a sensor measures the exhaust fumes) but on the 4.6's and up they just plug into the cars computer (where the tuner plugs into) and read the computer. If there are no thrown codes (check engine lights) then you pass.
