house got a WIDE OPEN look at 1:48 because

outlaw failed to switch after getting picked off. and it wasn't like garnett or perkins came in and set a monster pick to take him out of the play.

and that's not the first time outlaw has done something dumb like that. lucky for him that house missed because he will put that down 4 out of 5 times.

There are some moronic comments on here from the Celtics fans. I know they don't represent the majority, but the guys on here act like the one point swing determined the outcome of the game.

If Portland lost, we'd be complaining about the shooting foul they gave Tony Allen. How about the no-call push off from Rondo or the Pierce 2 pivot foot travel.

The Refs are always going to make or miss bad calls, live with it. The only thing we can ask for is that they miss them equally.

I don't know. Calling an undue shooting foul or a no-call is one thing, and I understand the refs are only human and they're not going to get everything right, but this was another issue entirely. This was just so damn obvious.

But the fact Blazers benefitted from the dumb rule its hard to swallow, totally understandable.

All I'm saying is that one-point didn't determine the game. If you want to get nitpicky then why did Pierce miss those "free" throws near the end.

Well I'm not talking about a one point advantage, I'm talking about 3. Blazers should've had the bucket taken away and asessed a technical foul thus giving a net gain of 3 points to the Celtics. You can still look at the final score and say even 3 pts. wouldn't have made a difference, but basketball is a game where momentum counts big time. But I digress, move on and admit, Celtics faltered on the stretch and lost the game. Headstrong teams can get past a bad call like this and still win.

I already admitted that the rule is dumb. We both agree there. Down the stretch all calls were in Boston's favor, even the no call Travel on Pierce.

Don't worry even though I'm happy my Blazers beat your Celtics. I still know your team will be in the Finals this year and unfortunately not ours, maybe in a 2-3 years though.

I was at this game. The Celts are my favorite team other than Portland, going back to the Larry Bird days. But in this game, Portland gave Boston a taste of their own medicine. It was like Game 4 of the 1984 Finals. Portland got into the Celtics heads after Oden pushed Allen into the second row and Aldridge forearmed Garnett in the head (it wasn't shown on TV, but I saw it live). The Celts played like crap after that (and after the 6 man play). Boston should have won this game easily.
