  • pedals work with everything so yeah IT WORKS WITH BASS. i hate having to tell people that.

  • what chords r u playing dude

  • With the new EHX XO stuff being surface mount, there's no reason not to buy one of these over a DMM now.

  • @seagreenyweeny sure there is: don't support shitty companies that steal designs and make ghetto knockoffs.

  • to quote the other guy down there "does it work with bass?"

  • Sounds cheap

  • excellent playing demo from KelmOne who has also modded the appearance of their unit to make it look really retro. We rarely add video reponses but this is very good, check it.

  • I bought this. Going to give my honest opinion.

It is a beautiful effect. It works well, and has rich and warm delay trails.

My only real gripe with it is that it is not true bypass. I see some claiming that it's true bypass, but it clearly does a little tone sucking around the high end when not engaged. For such a low price, it is not a deal breaker, but I feel that people need to know the truth all the same.

  • @Shaharazad221 I opened it up and I think the pedal itself is set up for true bypass functionality. However, I think it may just be a case of not high-end hardware that sucks the high end a touch. A bit like how really inexpensive instrument cable can dampen your tone a bit.

  • к чему так много разговоров? что и как крутить и без комментариев понятно! покажи возможность эффекта, больше музыки!!!!!!!!!

  • This is one tough pedal, solid pots great strong feel! Its highly recommended A+

  • Its one tough pedal aye! Serious it takes abuse and its solid, the pots are great on mine as well! A+ highly recommended!

  • This pedal is made plastic too?

  • Im a bit of a cold war kids fan and if you set the feedback pot halfway and the delay on about two or three you get this awesome vintagy reverb sound, i love it, sounds so vintage on my ibanez sa running through celestions!

  • maybe i will buy this one, what you think about the sound quality and the similarity whit the memory man?

  • Hey, sounds great. I was just wondering, I'm looking at getting myself an analogue delay for ~$100. I'm looking at the EHX Memory Boy and Toy, and this, and I was wondering whether you had any experience with either of the EHX pedals. I'm going for that classic U2/The Edge sound, which of course EHX can get, but I'm debating whether the added features of the Behringer make it a better pick, and whether it can get that sound. What are your thoughts? Great demo again by the way.

  • @Gyrofist1 - not sure of the edge's rig except he uses a roland sde isnt it?- one thingto bare in mind: the importance of the delay being in-sync with the tempo of the song to get U2 rythmic delay.. so praps one of the behringer delays which allows you to set the tempo by holding down the pedal for 2 seconds and then doing tap-tempo with your foot. check the delay reviews maybe - the echo machine is my fav. awesome delay pedal for cheap. if it dies buy another they are so cheap

  • @Gyrofist1 I suggest you check out the new EHX Deluxe Memory Boy. It's 150$, but for that price, it's amazing! Really good sound, and tap/tempo. And a lot of other features.

  • @Gyrofist1 I suggest you check out the new EHX Deluxe Memory Boy. It's analog, but digitally controlled. Good sound, tap/tempo makes it easy to use live. I'm gonna leave out all the advertisement here. Just check it out.

  • Love your reviews. I bought a Echo Machine because I saw your review. Never regret it. Do you have any Behringer Phasers? I trying to find a good soud review of one of the many that Behringer supplys, but nothing yet. Thanks.

  • is it noisy? If you have it in your chain and engage the button do you hear any additional hiss or snap, crackle pop from your amplifier? Cheers

  • does this make a noisy click through the amp, when you turn in on? Like some other behringer pedals? (the €20 versions)

  • 1234!!!

But in all seriousness thanks for such comprehensive reviews :p

  • I have two questions, these are the only things stopping me from buying one of these.

How does it compare to the original EHX Memory man

And (does / how badly does) it suck tone?

  • One thing is for damn shure. I have this one working on my pedalboard and i love it, i usually use this pedal for the clean sound. Awesome pedal

  • does it work with bass?

  • @natrockskate i played it with bass few times, works great !

  • @natrockskate At less, the Deluxe Memory Man can work very good with bass.

  • @natrockskate As far as reverb and delay pedals go, the pedal effects whatever the input signal might be, be it guitar, bass, keyboard, or electric kazoo.

  • Great Review man!!!

    I have a Question...

The chorus is independent from delay?

If I put in 0 the delay knob, the chorus works?

Please help me.....i wanna one of this!!!

  • this sounds shit, save up for a memory man...

  • I don't think that the vibrato is a strong as the EH MM, but that said I don't use it at that setting ever.

I think that this delay is a huge value. But the first act delay is also a huge value.

  • Nothing in compare with others digital delays or reverbs... it is an other type or sound... it have a lot of modulation of effects and you can take off many types of different ambience... My advice is that you don't buy it if you need a reverb or a chorus but you can buy it if you need of vintage ambience and special sounds...

  • i have one and it is fantastic!

  • and the price is...........?

  • @TheDeamontool

    90 euro

  • The best review for the VM1 at Youtube - THANK YOU!!! - I'll get one

  • veeery good review, mate, the only thing I`m missing is you showing some shorter delays and feedback settings like slap back...

  • What does the mix control do for the wet/dry, and what are the characteristic sounds of wet/dry?

  • is this true bypass?

  • i have 4 behringer pedal , and nothing to say , are very good quality sound and construction .

  • how silly is it to hate behringer? it's nifty, it's cheap stuff and no one forces you to buy it.

i love cheap casios, cheap old gameboys, and cheap little behringers.

  • @missingsayoko

    and cheap prostitutes haha

  • haha that means your mother too.

  • lol that cant be possible, I was born from a tube!

  • bet she's a behringer.

  • i kind of like it.

  • Man, this completely rips off the design of the ehx deluxe memory man. too bad it sounds nothing like it and nowhere near as good.

  • i dunno man....

all i hear is a lot of really annoying pulsation attached to a dry guitar.

i think you really needed to turn down the chorus depth or whatever they call it as well as the feedback then maybe it would sound good.

you're supposed to be doing a review but aren't doing much in the way of variating the controls.

just some constructive criticism mate. keep up the good work

  • what makes up behringers reasearch and development department?

one guy and a xerox machine

  • First.
