  • i dont know what my problem is. I can easily touch the top of the square on the backboard, but when i go to dunk i have trouble throwing it down. it feels like i jump nowhere near as high with the ball in my hands.

  • if your 6'0 ft and over of course dunking looks easy...im 5'8, 13 years old. i want to increase my vertical jump. if anyone can help me hit up my channel.

  • palming the ball is such an advantage to dunking, i can't palm it but im 6'2 so i dunk 2 handed or 1 hand if i really get up

  • im 5'11 and i can dunk with two hands and one the real trick to jump higher is just jumper alot while you play so go for alot of rebound and jump shots and just ump as much as you can in the game and it will make you jump higher lol 4real though and if your a fat as or chunny cheaps loose some weight the lighter you are the higher you go and that includes muscle men lol loose some muscle

  • I can dunk it with two and one hand running. But taking one step I can only dunk it part of the time sometimes i dunk it sometimes im swatted by the rim. im 6'3 any advice?

  • If you're less than 14 years old I'd just reccomend playing as much basketball as you can. Don't worry about dunking until you become a bit taller and stronger otherwise you will detract from other areas of your game

  • @AfghaniBaller youve probably hit a plateau, you need to break it, or youll never be able to get yourself past the rim, or youll start loosing vertical eventually

  • for the "3 step drill" we are tryna focus on the penultimaet step right... when i like carefully watched ur steps ur last 2 steps are not close and like really quick.. when were doing this drill do we just take "3 steps" or do we take the proper 3 steps with a longated step , followed by a quick baboom step.. ?

  • i jump higher of two feet....i weigh 235 6'0 and can dunk 10 feet...i know im overwieght but i do alot of reistance workouts with a 50 pound wieght vest..when i take it off i feel looser...

  • I lost quite a bit of weight since FB season and I'm around 200lbs rite now. I'm 6'2 and only a two-foot jumper right now even tho i can touch the rim off 1. If I combine cardio for weight loss ( biking, running) and exercises of plyometrics will I have better hops?

  • what I would recommend for anyone who wants to improve their vertical leap is to do alot of biking. It took me about 2-3 weeks, of biking around 30-40min 3 times a week to imrpove from touching the rim to dunking the ball. Now if you wanna get explosive you wanna do weight resistance training. This means get some weights or if you cant go gym get a bag fill it up with rocks or anything heavy and keep jumping. Repeat this 3 times a week and when you start jumping without the bag you'll jump fastr

  • @LOLZORZMNOX That amount of biking is actually detrimental to your jumping. The only benefit there would be cardio for weight loss.

  • @Vertfreak101dotcom so, im squatting about 70 kgs or 80 (depends on set or day) and doing other exercises, and i touc the rim, grab it sometimes.... how would i get 4 inches quickly, to dunk it??

  • @Vertfreak101dotcom @LOLZORZMNOX All-Mountain Biking can help to improve vertical jumping ability by giving your entire body a good strength foundation as I have found in my years of mnt. biking and basketball, and has helped me jump higher, not lower. I think most people that think biking are thinking about a stationary bike, or a road bike or even cross country, this is NOT what I'm talking about, real all-mountain biking will push your entire body for much more than just cardio alone.

  • @LOLZORZMNOX Ya actually if you bike that much your training a different energy system and it actually wouldn't make you as explosive, although it would strengthen your legs and give you mad endurance..

  • @OneIManWolfpack Really depends on you, about anywhere from 3pounds each weight to 10 pounds each but dont do it if your still growing or you wont grow to your full potential

  • @LOLZORZMNOX I have had tendonitis for two years nearly and havent found anything apart from resting the knee for a couple of weeks (feels fine, but after balling for a week or two it comes back), then a mate asks me if i wanted to go mountainbiking, I bike maybe once a week (some good solid trails) and now i am finally starting to grab the rim from a two foot jump after strengthening up my quads and calves from biking..,....it was actually fun alleviating this issue with my knee in the end

  • i used a 9 foot rim and every week i added an inch to the rim until i could dunk on 10 feet i performed dunk sessions twice a week like 50 dunks or so, if you progress slower than that you can do sqauts explosively with low weight and some sets with high weight once a week, squats once a week. jumping twice a week- its simple folkes really simple
