@susanloveshuskies Quinoa is how it's spelled. And yes, it has much more nutritional value then just plain rice. Google it, it's actually amazing how good it is for dogs and people!

@iluvcoco17 Breeding Dogs should only be left to the professionals. I am a responsible Pet owner and both of my dogs are spayed. I do not promote the breeding of any dogs unless done so to help better the breed. Breeders should have their dogs OFA certified for hip and eye defects, and should only breed champion bloodline dogs. It will help stamp out the many genetic defects that we see in dogs today. Backyard breeding, breeding because they are cute, and never a good thing

What my family has done with all of our dogs (and also my cat) is to leave the food bowl full so they can eat throughout the day. I know people struggle with that, but I feel if a dog is reassured that it's food will always be available, it'll learn that it doesn't have to eat a lot in one sitting and can munch throughout the day. For a dog that immediately starts life on a feeding schedule, it'll feel like it needs to eat a lot else it wont be fed again for a long time.

@Sik15 Not so, animals are designed to eat and leaving food can actually cause them to over eat and gain weight. A feeding Schedule will stop this, much like we are supposed to eat Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, they should be doing the same. You only give a measured amount of food, so even when fed, they can't overeat, and you are always sure they are getting the correct amount each day, which is hard to do without a schedule.

@GoneToTheSnowDogs You cannot leave food out for some breed actually any breed they will over eat and if they eat to fast they can turn their stomach oh and worst of all GAS haha please do not. I actually have had dogs come up to my house and I would feed them at a curtain time and they would come on time and then leave most had to be re homed cause they would never leave so NO not a good idea.

@GoneToTheSnowDogs You have WONDERFUL pups question sorry if it is already answered but gonna ask anyways are Shiloh and Shelby purebreds and how old you never really say, I am 12 and own a purebred RedBone CoonHound a Border Collie Australian Shepard cross VERY SMART and loves the word wanna run or agility time then my oldest is Isaac a Border Collie Labrador Cross he is 9 y/o oh my "bc" cross is Zach and purebred RedBone is Zoey she loves the word get your squirrel thanks.
