  • How Did You Paste The beat you made at 2:01?

  • @AppleXModz by dragging the clip while keeping the alt key pressed, you can duplicate any number of clips that way. very useful

  • @reasonmastaa thanks it is very useful thanks keep up the good work!

  • i dont know man i just buy reason five and the one thing i dont like is that u cant do something live directly ... injust vynil sounds chopping , twisting a wave file and pitch it directly on your board...Is just to machine like for me...It has got a great recording system for makin beats so am a keep playing with it maybe i get a grip.

  • Perfect just what I was looking for. Im off now to check out your other ones. Thanks

  • How do I make it so that i can hit 123456789 and stuff and make the sound on my keyboard? please help

  • @RSnerd1233 using f4 you can pop up the keyobard (alt+f4) and you can trigger the pads from there. you can reprogram the keys in the settings menu.

  • Cool vid!

  • Can you upload that combinator patch please?

  • I was routing to the wrong place apparently.. I was trying to route from kong to the mixer, that did not work. But when I routed to Audio I/O, it worked then.. thanks for your help. I do hope this is the right way to do it...

  • Any chance you would be kind enough to tell me how to route individual pads to ableton live 8? I am having some real difficulty trying to figure this out. Primarily because I am a newb at reason 5. I decided to go the matrix route, but that still doesnt help me route to individual tracks to ableton via rewire. Any ideas? Thx.

  • @eyePWNThisChannel the closest you can get to doing that would be with the outputs at the back. they are paired up 3-4, 5-6, ... 15-16. then, on each individual pad, beneath the two effect modules, you get the pull down menu to select which of the outputs you want that pad to generate sound. sadly, you don't have enough outputs for 16 pads, but its still pretty cool... hope it helps!

  • @reasonmastaa The reason I want to do this is obviously for separate control over mixing each portion of the drum track. I did route using your suggestion into ableton, but for whatever reason, I still cant apply eq and effects to each one separately within ableton...

  • I was looking around a few days back and learned that I need an audio track and a midi track per drum unit (i.e. bass drum, snare etc...). this has stopped working since routing to different outs. not that it matters because signal was going through all the tracks anyway... so confusing... :\

  • Good stuff sounds nice

  • were do you get your patches from? there cool

  • Amazing, clear and simply brilliant tutorial. Worthy of a subscription

  • I can not download this program, please tell me where to download it

  • @BBoy5553 its paid software, but you can get the trial version on the propellerhead website. other than that.... tpb?

  • @BBoy5553 buy the bloody thing!!!

  • YOU ANSWERED THREE OF MY QUESTIONS IN THIS TUTORIAL, MAY ALL YOUR MUSIC BE BEAUTIFUL........(CHINESE BOW)

  • GREAT TUTORIAL, KEEP EM COMIN

  • Thank you so much for making this tutorial. Kong has been kind of a mystery since upgrading to Reason 5 from version 3. I'm used to doing all my beats in Redrum so it was helpful to see someone close the loop between the two.

  • Really good one, thanks....i'm looking forward to other videos! ;)

  • How can I get the gangsta patch ? My hip hop kits is empty.

  • How do you assign the kong designer to my keyboard? That would be amazing!

  • Very helpful tutorials. Thank you.

  • your awesome at this keep the tutorials coming

  • Nice stuff. Great tutorials.

  • hahahh zaajeb se lepiej w łeb

  • when u where doing ur drum pattern on the kong jus sounded like you did set that latence and if you dont set it right you patterns will be off i know some times its a bitch 2 set the latence right in reasons i think propellerhead needs 2 work on that but i love reasons

  • i looooove youuuu , the best theacher ever ! thanks so much !

  • @DULCESANTACOLOMA you're very much welcome! Glad that I could be of some help

  • Gracias, soy nuevo en reason y aprendí muchas cosas, thanks a lot I'm new in reason and I learned many things only seeing one of your tutorial, I think this is the best reason tutorial I have seen.

  • This is probably one the best reason tutorials i have seen.

  • For all you people whining, just pencil in the freaking notes, its not that hard. Loop it until it sounds right. KONG IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, if you can just manage to write notes in.

  • This was a great video because I have just looked at about 20 Youtube videos about this. KONG IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. It has no step sequencer. Unbelievable!

I hate playing drums and I just program notes one by one the same way you do it on the Redrum. Easy for the non Drummer. Here you have to play your notes live in the sequencer or use Redrum or another device for their Step Sequencer. Thats really awkward and not user friendly. I need a step sequencer for electronic drums to progam my parts

  • thanks man you have helped me so much with this vid! :)

  • @MichaelxRHS Yes I agree. I was tearing my hair out looking for the step sequencer and as was explained there is no way to do this in Kong alone itself. I couldnt use Kong as a standalone device. I cant play drums on a midi keyboard and I hate quantisation. As for the hook up with other devices why didnt Propellheads not stick a step sequencer on this. This video mentioned what all the others dont mention. You cant program beats in Kong alone. Very disappointing!

  • i did this but matrix 1 doesnt work for some reason. its pissing me off i guess i need a keyboard the matrix' are hard to hook up

  • @jsfc09 You're probably not hooking up the right in/out

you need to plug the matrix GATE OUT into the kong's individual pad's GATE IN

    hope that helps
