the bass riff at 6:44 has something wrong that doesn't suit with the rest, It sounds out of tune or something weird. Am I the only one that notice that?
@killercour If you are after the more atmospheric stuff like this then check out Summoning, Drudkh, ColdWorld (not to be confused with some other non black metal band)
@SzachLechistanu The song is about a black woman. The title was originally going to be "Hallways of Interracial Ebony Gangbang", but it was already taken by another band.
Sorry I said such a lame joke, I just couldn't hold it in. :)
I am so glad that I can be proud for at least one band that comes from the U.S.A. Most of our bands are worthless. I absolutely love everything Agalloch does, and I am so glad they come from the U.S. When non-Americans try and say that America has no good bands, I can proudly show them this one.
Agalloch is fucking brilliant! Amazing Really! now i Don't want over biased people commenting regarding my posts, I know there are better bands, more technical and progressive, better at melodious satanic black and death metal! But Agalloch.. it just... IT REACHES YOU INSIDE AND JUST.... MAKES YOU FEEL WHAT YOU ARE MEANT TO FEEL! IT IS TRUE! DEEP FUCKING SHIT!!!!! \m/
@w1nds0fn1ght I learned the word "catharsis" from this band and I believe it's the best way to describe them. Agalloch's songs allow for cathartic release, and I find they are especially pleasurable to listen to when it's dark and cold out.
I wish youtube would let you post videos longer than 10 minutes because most progressive rock/ some black metal songs are literally cut in half and it blows.
@chelzeaify yea, I never listen to it once, i have to play it again right after listening to it first..i cant get enough of it. When I first heard it I was smiling, dancing and playing this again and again mad...btw., this is my first Agalloch song, i'm in love with Agalloch ever since
I cannot wait for their new album! I talked to don anderson after one of their shows and he said its going to be more like Pale Folklore but with Ashes Against the Grain quality. He also said they have about 90% of it written and have an album cover and everything so i am getting very eager here!
I'm noticing that Pale Folklore seems to be a more "up-beat" album than, say, Ashes... and I'm really liking that. This is more up-beat black metal at it's best. I really need to get this record :-D
caught this song a year ago by pure accident. it came through a related search from a band called Arcana. those of you who dont know check out " Inner Pale Sun ". love and peace.
does anyone know where i can purchase agalloch albums? cause i bet they arent in the music store in my town, i havn't got itunes, and i really want this music
If you had to classify this band (...which is not really necessary), you could call them "blackened folk-metal". There earlier stuff - like this track - is clearly influenced by old Fields of the Nephilim and early Katatonia.

Yes, I think wolves too. If you've listened to older Agalloch, you might recognize "Wolves of Timberline" played at the very end, only here it's with electric guitars.
This is such an amazing song, I've been looking for the tabs for the song for so long and i can't find any, I'm not to hot at figureing it out by lsitening so if anyone has the tabs please post a link or adress.THANKS.
my band covered this but without any vocals because we didnt have any at the time so we didnt do the repeats as much, id love to recover it with vocals and full repeats
OH, alright then. Sorry. I don't know about elsewhere but at least where I am the term Creationist often refers to the Christians 'god made everything 6000 years ago' belief system. Seems I misinterpretted what you said. My bad. >.>
Is that the measure in which the Church have stuffed ideology up everyone's mouth? :) Has the world creationist lost its sense - that of "related to a creation"? Or maybe I used the wrong word.
Everything from Folklore to Marrow of the Spirit it the pinnacle of what I perceive to be perfect music.
