  • Everything from Folklore to Marrow of the Spirit it the pinnacle of what I perceive to be perfect music.

  • @FangsOfTheNidhogg If only i met people like you irl

  • If I could have a romance with one song, this would be it.

  • What a song! It deserves 10000 thumbs up or even more! =)

  • may the universe open up to me now. the absence of color is actually all color combined.

  • Agalloch rules !!! from SERBIA !!!!

  • the bass riff at 6:44 has something wrong that doesn't suit with the rest, It sounds out of tune or something weird. Am I the only one that notice that?

  • They actually sound like a european band something thats good....usa metal scene would be poor if it didnt have agalloch

  • @AsiDie888 I don't understand how being European or American has anything to do with anything.

  • The best song of all time, of all genres :)

  • The guitar at the start just pierces me in my weak moments.

  • one of agallochs best songs :)

  • only black metal band i like

  • @killercour If you are after the more atmospheric stuff like this then check out Summoning, Drudkh, ColdWorld (not to be confused with some other non black metal band)

  • Yep only American band I listen to and they kill it! What album is this song on?

  • @SzachLechistanu The song is about a black woman. The title was originally going to be "Hallways of Interracial Ebony Gangbang", but it was already taken by another band.

Sorry I said such a lame joke, I just couldn't hold it in. :)

  • @SzachLechistanu too much porn?

  • 7:52

  • I am so glad that I can be proud for at least one band that comes from the U.S.A. Most of our bands are worthless. I absolutely love everything Agalloch does, and I am so glad they come from the U.S. When non-Americans try and say that America has no good bands, I can proudly show them this one.

    Hail Agalloch!

  • @ServantOvSatan You've also got Isis and Rosetta.

  • @emperorpsymon I'll have to check them out, because I actually haven't heard them

  • @SzachLechistanu *facepalm* XD

  • @SzachLechistanu I am pretty sure it means ebony in terms of black wood.

  • is it just me.......or is the sunlight emitting a moving aura in the photo?

  • @SzachLechistanu The lyrics mean whatever you want them to.

  • @SzachLechistanu Actually, being in a dark forest at night, and wanting to die a lonely frostbitten death.

  • stupenda

  • masterpiece!

  • I had the chance to see them live in Romania. I hope i will see them again.

Regards from Romania. Agalloch are more than just a progressive/folk/black metal band.

  • Awesome

  • My favorite album♥

  • Agalloch is fucking brilliant! Amazing Really! now i Don't want over biased people commenting regarding my posts, I know there are better bands, more technical and progressive, better at melodious satanic black and death metal! But Agalloch.. it just... IT REACHES YOU INSIDE AND JUST.... MAKES YOU FEEL WHAT YOU ARE MEANT TO FEEL! IT IS TRUE! DEEP FUCKING SHIT!!!!! \m/

  • There's a big gaping hole in the front of my pants from how hard this song makes me shoot my load.

  • @Elemensce Cool story, bro

  • It was the lights end...

  • badass song!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love Agalloch! All of their songs make me feel relaxed and at peace :)

  • @w1nds0fn1ght I learned the word "catharsis" from this band and I believe it's the best way to describe them. Agalloch's songs allow for cathartic release, and I find they are especially pleasurable to listen to when it's dark and cold out.

  • I wish youtube would let you post videos longer than 10 minutes because most progressive rock/ some black metal songs are literally cut in half and it blows.

  • @CrankItEveryDay Unfortunate indeed but at least this one song actually is ten minutes long.

  • @CrankItEveryDay If you change your account type to director you can post videos over an hour long

  • @CrankItEveryDay Wish granted.

  • Fuck I love this band, I wish they would come to Spokane soon, they are the spirt of the Northwest!

  • One very intense song! Like it!

  • they are hybrid apes from 28 Days Later. lol.

  • it was the first agalloch song i've listened to. still in love with it.

  • Nobody compares to Agalloch

  • 100% purity

  • this band and this song are a big part of who i am musically. i agree ten minutes is too short. i usually play it twice.

  • @chelzeaify yea, I never listen to it once, i have to play it again right after listening to it first..i cant get enough of it. When I first heard it I was smiling, dancing and playing this again and again mad...btw., this is my first Agalloch song, i'm in love with Agalloch ever since

  • DAMN.

this song kicks ass. I've been listening so agalloch for years now and how have I never heard this before?

  • This band is the real deal when it comes to musical talent. i wish they would come to hawaii! (yea right.) i love them!

  • do any bands go to hawaii?

  • i just heard this of this band a week ago & i love them already. wish i would have heard of them 10 years ago.

  • kiss me coldly...

  • I cannot wait for their new album! I talked to don anderson after one of their shows and he said its going to be more like Pale Folklore but with Ashes Against the Grain quality. He also said they have about 90% of it written and have an album cover and everything so i am getting very eager here!

  • I'm noticing that Pale Folklore seems to be a more "up-beat" album than, say, Ashes... and I'm really liking that. This is more up-beat black metal at it's best. I really need to get this record :-D

  • @PaNtErAtH sounds cool.

  • YEah this band is fucking awesome

  • awesome band

  • this is some really good shit!!

    \m/

  • umm,if you dont know about this band yet,you are outta luck, been eating this stuff up for a few weeks now......

    very good.

  • umm, if you just learned about this band, you are outta luck, been eating this stuff up for a few weeks now.......

    very good.

  • the melodies from 1:27 - 1:40 give me a chubby.

    Agalloch and Heathenism forever!

  • caught this song a year ago by pure accident. it came through a related search from a band called Arcana. those of you who dont know check out " Inner Pale Sun ". love and peace.

  • hopefully i will be seeing them live this october

  • The lyrics are so damn good. All of them...

  • this song fills my dreams..

  • i love this song. *____*

  • No corridors of life and beauty.

    No bloodred sky.

No colors left in this world.

    It was the light's end...

    AGALLOCH FOREVER!! from spain

  • does anyone know where i can purchase agalloch albums? cause i bet they arent in the music store in my town, i havn't got itunes, and i really want this music

  • Try the end records or amazon!

You can still buy the white via Amazon!

Expensive of course, but it's worth it!

  • I got the white last week in a record shop near me for a tenner, they have two or three copies left.

    Luck or what?

  • oh my god...

How much money does it cost?

I nearly paid 300 Euro, but I didn't buy the white...

  • It's around £10, which would be like 13 euro? I'm not too good with conversions. :P

  • Well, thats a great price!

I would do everything to get it! Why didn't you buy it?

Wow, if I found "The White" in a shop I would not hesitate

  • If you had to classify this band (...which is not really necessary), you could call them "blackened folk-metal". There earlier stuff - like this track - is clearly influenced by old Fields of the Nephilim and early Katatonia.

  • mix of black, folk, and doom

    agalloch is the shit

  • what music is agalloch cuz its hard to define if you ask me

  • The soloing sound soo refined somehow

  • I wish I had Haughm's vocal cords...

  • It just sounds like nice nighttime rockn'roll and then the vocals come in and youre like. ohh!! right its Black metal!

  • Are those dogs at the end?

  • I think wolves.

  • I imagine dogs killed one-by-one by a wolf.

  • Yes, I think wolves too. If you've listened to older Agalloch, you might recognize "Wolves of Timberline" played at the very end, only here it's with electric guitars.

  • This is such an amazing song, I've been looking for the tabs for the song for so long and i can't find any, I'm not to hot at figureing it out by lsitening so if anyone has the tabs please post a link or adress.THANKS.

  • 911tabs is where I got mine

  • Such a depressing song.

  • It is!?

  • awesome

  • KSCIAA, thanks! :P all wyrd, agalloch, band what you added in youtube!

  • What a haunting, beautiful song.

Just add full moon and a clear autumn night =)

The guitar sounds on the solo sound somewhat like those on the Paradise Lost song Christendom, only better.

Although it's 10 minutes long, this song seems too short.

  • I agree I wish this song alone consumed one disc.

  • One of my most favorite agalloch songs. I can just dwell in my room and enjoy this piece without puase

  • my band covered this but without any vocals because we didnt have any at the time so we didnt do the repeats as much, id love to recover it with vocals and full repeats

  • I do vocals :)

  • what are these vocals called?

The only band I know that's anything like them is Wolves in the Throne Room (which still isn't similar haha) and they do death chords

  • they 're called ''brutal'',dude...

  • haha okay

    :)

  • Black metal vocals simply.

    Raspy and whispery.

  • black metal.

  • nice! im covering it right now actually

  • 3:07 to 3:39; one of the most beautiful solos I have ever heard.

  • fucking epic I really must say :D

  • And I must agree. :D

  • great song, great and awesome band

  • Eternal life I wish to you, my gods... May people appreciate your work and creationist efforts

  • true words you speak

  • Music, good this is.

  • Uh

    Creationist efforts?

  • Yep, I meant the efforts agalloch have made in order to create such a beautiful musical masterpiece;)

  • OH, alright then. Sorry. I don't know about elsewhere but at least where I am the term Creationist often refers to the Christians 'god made everything 6000 years ago' belief system. Seems I misinterpretted what you said. My bad. >.>

  • Is that the measure in which the Church have stuffed ideology up everyone's mouth? :) Has the world creationist lost its sense - that of "related to a creation"? Or maybe I used the wrong word.

  • Nah, it's just that a lot of Christian ideology and vocabulary is prevalent in our country.

  • Okay then, sorry for the bother ;) Check out my Tiarra vids! You might like them if you have an affinity for soft gothic metal :)

  • Will do friend. :)
