There are some nice bits in there. And the vid is good, but why oh why doesn't he stick to the beat. He sometimes tries to say 3 words on one beat. It sounds awful. There are some nice bits in there. And the vid is good, but why oh why doesn't he stick to the beat. He sometimes tries to say 3 words on one beat. It sounds awful. He should rewrite taking more care of the beats and rhymes. And what's with that Spanish in the middle? Can someone translate it for me?

Can't understand all the (badly spoken) Spanish but its 'eres un cabrone' (you are a bastard) should be 'cabron' with something about Tenerife..next something about lots of money: 'muchos pesatas' should be 'muchas pesetas'. His accent sounds like an English person who is trying to speak Spanish & not learnt the pronunciation LOL (Just found out his father is Spanish)
There are some good bits esp the start but the 3 words on one beat & missing it makes it sounds amateur & a bit embarrassing!

Thanks, Dawny. I think he could make this pretty good with rewriting coz there are good lines (fagetti). His heart is in the right place and I loved his Channel 4 programme.
I don't really approve of 'urban' music generally tho coz it all sounds like a selfish ten year old pretending to be al capone.
I think he says 'pesetas' ok, but i suspect 'mucho mucho pesetas' should be 'muchas muchas pesetas'. I don't know if there is poetic license in Spanish to leave 'mucho mucho' uninflected here.

Well I'm really not into 'urban' music either as I feel the lyrics consist largely of egotistical self-inflating meaningless crap..but musically, I admit it can have catchy melodies.
It should be 'muchAS pesetAS' as pesetas is in the feminine form (AS) & should be preceded by the same. In the song he says 'I can flunk Canary Island Spanish'..Compared 2 the rest of Spain, the Spanish spoken in the Canaries is seen as weird, but in my experience it doesn't contain such bad basic grammar lol
