  • It's about time someone set the record straight! Look, I don't like the changes that come about on YouTube and so on. People always protest and complain about those changes. Eventually after a couple of weeks, they all get used to it. Complaining about it will get the same response as just sitting there and doing nothing. People say to "let your voice be heard" or something to the like. I'm sorry, but since when does ANY major multi-million/billion dollar company care about what the people say?

  • @StarionX True. :) JC

  • Hi, JC! Im totally agree with you! OK, suddenly you wanted privacy. But i think, if you created account - it's a first step to publicity, right? And EVERYBODY can read your posts, It's not "google stuff" or your friends but everybody. For me it's illogical.

  • @nemru Yep. I think you pretty much summed it all up. You just can't have it both ways like you used to when it was just chat rooms with aliases and nothing else. We share way more detailed information these days. :) JC

  • There are YouTubers who are signing up for ZipCast. I got mine set up and my ID is "TheFritzster." ZipCast is at its beginnings, as I understand. Time will tell how they're going to improve. It seems as if former YouTubers MIGHT become ZipCasters.

In my profile, I would say that "Fritz" is not my real name but a name I use on YouTube, Twitter and a few other such sites. I'm being kinda cautious about giving away info about myself.

  • @ThisGuyFrritz I looked at ZippCast and it has a long way to go but I generally like the simplicity of the interface. :) JC

  • Part 3 I can talk faster by voice than typing on some small cellphone keyboard. The other thing is cost of cellphone service plans. I only have a prepaid cellphone for car breakdowns. I also think one day they will say cellphones cause cancer that is the other reason I limit myself.

  • @Comptekhs LOL... I agree with you! I don't understand the whole sit like a zombie and look at Facebook thing. I check it our a couple of times per day just to see if anything interesting popped up but I rarely chat and usually I tell whoever it is to call me. :) JC

  • Part 2 The way I look at Facebook is a waste of time I feel everyone is starting to turn into Facebook hooked Robots This does not compute lol. If I want to talk to someone I would rather talk to them on the phone or be talking to them person to person. Everything has just become less sociable in society. I could never understand why anyone would want to use cellphone texting unless you do not want to disturb someone sleeping. Part 3

  • The problem with this type of Integration on Google is more of a Monopoly. This is worse than Microsoft ever did with the Operating System. I would rather other companies be able to be in competition with Google for business. The first time I ever used the Internet was in about late 1994-1995. The way I remember Google for searching is a light weight user Interface. That is easily navigable, quick and fast it was also less invasive. Continue Part 2

  • Insightful and levelheaded opinions JC.

  • @xxxKevyMetalxxx Thanks... Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. :) JC

  • Somewhat off topic but : I've seen the whole Facebook location tagging fiasco before. A few Facebook friends (people I don't normally see in real life) tagged themselves as being 'home' after a trip out of the city. Of course, they tagged the location of their house ! I also know people who put down their land line number on Facebook. It's quite easy to do a reverse phone number search and find their address...facepalm

Looking forward to what others are going to say :)

  • @azntranc3951 Me, too. I think folks need to calm down a bit. Google has been doing this stuff for years. They're just telling us a bout it now. :) JC

  • Very interesting stuff. The truth is that we are now addicted to social networking, but new innovators can come along and take away their market share if they don't improve. We don't have privacy, but we are camouflaged with millions and millions of other users. Negligence is our ally - everybody is more interested in their own channel and their own profile. In 30 years, we will all be recognized by retina software that will know our consumer preferences everywhere we go.

  • @TheZeekgeek1 30 years from now I'll be 70 and no one will care about my preferences. :) JC
