I presume you refer to someone dying without ever hearing about Jesus. If so, the biblical [and correct] answer is, No, that person cannot be saved apart from personal faith in Jesus. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me. Paul said, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
i cant find the full documentary ANYWHERE, and i just saw the last 10 mins on t.v - what the hell?!?!??! PLEASE POST IF U KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND IT!!!!
2. Acts 8:16 -- you failed to use the preceding verse -- (Acts 8:15 KJV) Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: these folks were baptized, but not saved as yet. (Rom 8:9 KJV) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
(Gal 3:27 KJV) For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Again, this is Holy Spirit baptism "into Christ," not into water. Water baptism has nothing to do with salvation. Salvation is all of God's grace, and nothing of man's works/doings.
(Luke 24:45-47 KJV) Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, {46} And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: {47} And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
This passage says nothing at all about baptism. It is, however, the complete message of salvation (the full Gospel message) which is able to save anyone.
Acts 2:38, Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Je'sus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Ho'ly Ghost.
"And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?" -Acts 8:36
as well as ... Acts2:38, 1Peter 3:21, Rom. 6:1-10, Eph. 4:5, John 4:1
Regarding Acts 8:36 and Acts 2:38 -- in both passages, baptism follows salvation:
(Acts 8:36-37 KJV) And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? {37} And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
(Acts 2:38 KJV) Be baptized for [because of] the remission of sins.
Romans 6:1-10 refers to Holy Spirit baptism which occurs at the instant someone is saved. The believer is immediately baptized (immersed) into the Lord Jesus Christ, never to come out again. The believer is sealed with the very same Holy Spirit until the day of redemption, Ephesians 1:13, 4:30
Eph. 4:4 says, "One Lord, one faith, one baptism,"
Where does this verse say that we are not saved by grace? You are offering up proof texts which don't even address the premise you are trying to support.
You refer to John 4:1 -- (John 4:1 KJV) When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
Note the order: (1) He made disciples, (2) He baptized disciples. Baptism does not a disciple make, but disciples will be baptized -- after they are made disciples, of course.
at 1:10....the preacher is wrong!!!!! you are not saved by grace...The only way to be saved is to repent and to accept Jesus as your savior and to get a water baptism in Jesus name!!! and ONLY his name alone will save you!! not in the father, in the son, and in the holy ghost...no no that is not what the bible says!!
(Acts 15:11 KJV) But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
(Eph 2:5 KJV) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
(Eph 2:8 KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith ...
(2 Tim 1:9 KJV) Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
@SHAWN119100 You need to be shown the path of/to God. No man should hate another, and if you were saved you would be convicted of the Holy Ghost, therefor; you would find no ' very religious ' person to be boring.
Regarding "boring," not around our church! We have some very able preachers and teachers in our midst. Regarding "strict," hopefully not more strict than the Bible would mandate, but hopefully not less strict, either. We are happy to strictly promote the keeping of the Law, for its purpose is that we can live in better harmony. Are you against dishonoring parents, murder, adultery, theft, lying, and coveting? If so, some would say you were "strict," too. Hopefully you are.
I can see how you might have thought so, but we meant "excerpts." The video on our site is a series of short clips from the full video. Thanks for commenting.
Hell is temporary, and as you said, it will be destroyed along with the earth one day. The Lake of Fire is eternal. All lost ones will be transferred into the Lake of Fire before Hell is destroyed.
blackhawk777, it appears that the full video has been pulled by whomever. You might contact The History Channel to see when it will air again. They show it every so often. Thanks for asking, Rich Fulton
