@jayr122001 nope having your check engine lite on or service engine soon light on is an auto fail even if everthing else passes,the smog isnt just about tail pipe emissions,and if 1 part fails the test is fail,what u can do is disconect ur battery,this will earase your check engine light,if you start the car up after and the lite comes on its a hard code meaning a problem thats always there ,if the light stays off for a few hrs or days then u have an intermitin problem

@jayr122001 also if your car is 96 and newer u will have to reset your monitors after you disconnect your battery..you do this buy free way driving,you will not know if they are reset when u get your smog done ask them to check your monitors 1st before they do the smog,if you dont have enough monitors ready your car will fail the smog,so ask them to check before they do the smog,if they say no just go some where else...gl man

@trashy10 I already passed the smog test after our mechanics fixed the transmission the light is gone,but yesterday the light came back again.what do u think that's mean?thank god I already passed the smog test..

@jayr122001 well cant tell over the net,but some times solenoids on the tranny have lose wires or gobad and ur check eng light will come on.also it can be a totally diffrent code,if i was you i check all the paper work and find the code it should be sumthing like "P0XXX" the x's bieng random numbers and a brief description,once you find that number,look in the paper for some 1 who does free eng light code check, see if its the same code they supsoidly fixed,if it is go back and make them fix it

So your puting water wich is hydrogen and oxygen into your crankcase through the pcv valve wich does nothing but cause moisture build up in the crankcase wich is bad for the oil and its burning more moisture.
