  • Awsome, do you have a capo on the second fret. Did you have to change the tune on the fifth string. This is going to be my next song for sure. Thanks for the inspiration

  • Yes, Capoed to the key of A. On all my banjos I get little nails, called "spikes" I think, installed on the 7th and 9th frets (from the nut) for the 5th string. You just slide the string under the spike head. They're a lot less conspicuous than those big sliding contraptions and you can tune to most keys easily enough without stretching the 5th string way out.

    This is one of those songs that if I try to think about it, I mess it up. Let your fingers do the thinking!
