it isnt a jellyfish, but is incredibly similer. It is not in fact, one organism, but is made up of thousnads of tiny things called polyps, working together to perfrm different functions. Like a jellyfish, it does have stinging tentacles, but it also has the gas filled sail that you see(the white thing above water that the turtles eating) to be used like a moving device by the wind.

The turtles skin is too thick for the manowars poien to penetratre.

The Sea Turtle's skin is too thick for the venom to penentrate, making it impossible to sting. As for the eyes, and roof of mouth, nobody knows.

Also: The Bluebottle is a jellyfish-like creature. It's made up of millions of organisms working together. The "bloom" is really an air sac to help it float.

I dont know if thats true, might be but turtles are known to Absorb poison in their muscle tissue. You know that Box turtles are usually deadly for human consumption since they absorb everything from snake venom to the poison inside of wild berries.
