Isn't malt liquor usually marketed to Blacks? Cheap strong beer in 40 ounce bottles is for everyone and should be advertised accordingly.

I loved their ads with the bull charging through the wall at the end--though I did not remember this one.

I remember this commercial. Saw it around '80 or '81--age 6 or 7. It was my intro to AWB. I had yet to make the connection that these white guys were the same guys that did "Pick Up the Pieces." You know you GOTTA have soul to do a Schlitz Malt Liquor commercial. :-)

Great ad - thanks for posting - I recall other bands doing this type of ad. Too bad that SML of the 70's was a vile concoction. Maybe if their beer had been as good as thier ads, they wouldn't have went under!

Tommy James and the Shondells are one of my favorites from the 60s. Never saw this commercial on tv. Glad you posted it. Also love AWB from the 70s.
