5:30 You don't need an overshield. Jump on the tree and than on the rock under the tree and you won't even lose shield. Think before do my dear. Didn't watch further yet. Maybe I can correct some other parts later in the video.

I know a cool/weird thing about the hunters. If you change the graphics to the classic ones, hunters seem to be weaker and easier to kill, I killed a hunter with a single magnum bullet.

legendary is the one true way to play, the only reason to play on heroic is if you don't want to die instantly to jackal snipers but the original halo was designed too well to have any such faggotry. I have only ever played on legendary.

An even faster way to get this is by helping the marines at the start of the level. After killing all the enemies you have to stay with the marines and then the helicopter pilot will say something like: "somebody called for a warthog?" and then you can drive right to the skull.

You can survive the jump down the mountain without an overshield, just hug the wall all the way down, I did it all the time in the original Halo.

This worked like a charm, thank you. The only thing did different was to drive the worthog out on to the platform going forward and swing around the right side. That allowed to one, not fall off the ledge when you jump out and two, get the worthog closer to the edge you need to jump up to. After positioning the worthog and fine tuning smacking it with the rifle, I was able to jump onto the machine gun, throw a plasma, run along the barrel, jump and land on the upper platform. Skull-riffic!

try this, once you finally get the warthog in position grenade the warthog so it on its side. then jump on the wheel. thekey to this is when you get on the wheel mke sure you can any kind of a running start. then when you re ready toss grenade on wheel run and jump over to your bandanna skull..ps also make sure you crouch before you get to the wall.

Tiny tip for everyone. In any Halo game, it tends to be TONS easier to climb over stuff if you back your vehicle over it. Don't know why going forward makes it harder but it does.. ;)

Good method but I don't think it's the best. Two Plasmas, a Overshield and a jump got me up there after 3 tries. ;) Why didn't you just take the hog that was at the path's entrance from the start?

If for fun you want to challenge yourself, try getting all the hogs and yourself to the bottom of the map room.

@EclipseDante Wait. Let me confirm. Do you now have the skull? If you do pls ignore this- after you throw the grenade on the warthog at the exact location, as you jump, try to strafe left toward the slope wall. The slope is sorta hollow . And dont forget to crouch! If you don't crouch at the top ur feet cannot seems to land on the wall.it all takes time. And yeah after u throw the grenade try to count a fast one-two. Then u jump. Timing is crucial so good luck to you! Hope these tips help.

2: you can kill hunters with one pistol shot  (even on legendary)

3: you CAN survive the fall without taking any damage at all, you basically WALK down the cliff behind the overshields safely
