I have both phones, the N95 is much better than the N81 but the N81 is simply spectacular in terms of sound, music, much better than the N95

The N95 3D animation ran faster because it had a 3D accelerator on it, compared to the one on the right, which performed sluggishly because it relied heavily on software rendering; 3D games on phones such as the Nokia 6230i lagged on my case, with some games performing poorly.

Yes the games won't NEED it, but the phones that have the 3D chip can still take advantage of it. Nokia said they're going to make two versions of some of the N-Gage games in the future, one being hardware-accelerated while the other being rendered in software.
